CHANDIGARH, SEPT 17
National Institute
of Fashion Technology, New Delhi would open its sixteenth center of fashion
technology at a cost of Rs. 100 crore in the Panchkula.
While stating
this here today, an official spokesman said that a piece of 10 acre land
was chosen on the bank of river Ghaggar where NIFT would construct its
building. He said that a team under the chairmanship of Deputy Commissioner,
Dr. S.S. Phulia alongwith Director, NIFT Mr. Arimdam Das visited this site in
Sector 23 today and Mr. Das showed his satisfaction over the site.
He said that
Mr Das expressed gratitude towards Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Bhupender
Singh Hooda to allot this land for the institute where the students of
Haryana interested to make their career in fashion technology streams could get
training. He said that students of Chandigarh and Punjab could also get
training in this institute as there was no institute for fashion technology in
these areas.
