CHANDIGARH, SEPT 19
With a view to
provide better convenience to the passengers, Haryana Roadways Volvo and
Mercedes Benz buses going to Gurgaon would now also enter into the area of
Indira Gandhi International Airport (IGIA), Delhi to drop and pick the
passengers where taxis and private vehicles drop them.
While giving this
information here today, Director General, State Transport Haryana, Mr. Arun
Kumar said that both Haryana Roadways and authorities at the IGIA, Delhi
have reached an agreement to provide this facility. He said that now instead of
going to public transport centre, these buses would go inside the Airport area
and provide the much needed facility to the passengers.
He said that the buses
would stop there for a few minutes to drop and pick the passengers. Also, Haryana
Roadways would set up a Help Desk at the IGIA to provide assistance to its
patrons. The Help Desk would also book tickets and coordinate for the
passengers travelling to Chandigarh, he added.
