Jat Sangharsh Samiti calls of agitation

Akhil Bhartiya Jat Sangharsh Samiti has called off its agitation as they were  protesting on the issue of reservation near village Maiyad in district Hisar.
          While stating this today, Deputy Commissioner, Hisar, Dr. Amit Kumar Aggarwal said that Principal OSD to Chief Minister, Mr. M.S. Chopra had a meeting with office bearers of the Samiti in Jind yesterday and he too was present in the meeting.
He said that in this meeting the office bearers of  the Samiti   pointed out some discrepancies in the recently given reservation to the Jats by the State Government. To this, the representatives of the State Government said that before giving reservation, a survey was conducted in the State after constituting Backward Classes Commission and a notification was also issued in this regard. The representatives of the government said that if the Samiti finds any discrepancy in the notification, they could write to the State Government and a meeting of the representatives  of the Samiti could be held with legal experts.
          While referring to the second demand of the Samiti, the Deputy Commissioner said that  no case has been registered against any individual or caste with any wrong intention. All that has been done is under law. On the issue of withdrawal of cases raised by the representatives of the samiti,  the Deputy Commissioner said that the High Court  is also monitoring these cases. In this regard the representatives of the samiti  could also apply to the State Government and it could be considered after taking legal opinion.
The Deputy Commissioner  today met the office bearers of the Samiti at the place of agitation and asked them to withdraw their agitation. The office bearers agreed   to withdraw the agitation.
