The Dakshin
Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam (DHBVN) has earned 21.27 per cent more revenue
during the financial year 2012-13 as compared to the financial year
2011-12 as a result of concerted efforts made from October, 2012 to
March, 2013 under a special campaign.
It was revealed in a meeting of senior officers of the DHBVN presided over by
the Chairman and Managing Director, DHBVN and UHBVN, Mr. Devender Singh today.
The meeting was organized to review the operational activities of the DHBVN.
The Director, Mr. V K Chaudhary, all Chief General Manager and all General
Managers of Operations Wing attended the meeting.
It was
informed that the DHBVN earned revenue amounting to Rs. 6387.76 crore during
the financial year 2012-13 as against Rs. 5271.90 crore collected during the
financial year 2011-12.The highest annual increase has been 24.59 per cent in
Operation Circle Sirsa followed by Gurgaon 23.86 per cent, Rewari 21.43 per
cent, Narnaul 20.19 per cent, Bhiwani 19.37, Faridabad 18.87 per cent and Hisar
16.70 per cent.
The increase in
revenue has been maximum from October, 2012 to March, 2013 as it was Rs.
3317.88. The increase in revenue collection during the
period from October to March 2013 has been about 27 per cent over
the corresponding period of last year. During this period of last fiscal, the
DHBVN collected revenue amounting to Rs. 2614.71.
The Chairman and
Managing Director was apprised that it was a record revenue collection of Rs.
560. 45 crore during the month of March, 2013 as against Rs. 425.91 crore
collected during the corresponding month of 2012 registering an increase of
31.59 per cent.
Mr. Devender
Singh appreciated the efforts and achievements made under the special campaign
and said that the collection of revenue during the months from October,
2012 to March, 2013 has been over 95 per cent as against the target
which was only 88 per cent up to the month September, 2012 for the last
fiscal.He said that more efforts are required to be made to further improve the
collection efficiency. He said that the aggregate technical and commercial
losses are to be reduced to 15 per cent for which harder work is required on
technical as well as commercial fronts. The technical losses could be reduced
by improving the power distribution system.
Mr. Devender
Singh expressed his concern towards considerable improvement in efficiency in
resolving consumer complaints and said that the consumer grievance system
should be totally computerized so that the consumer could follow his complaint
to know status of it time taken in resolving a complaint comes on record for
better monitoring and establishing responsibility and accountability of
concerned staff.
He said that a
special incentive scheme has been introduced for the villages which reduce AT
and C losses drastically by getting shifted the meters to pillar boxes and
getting installed the new safe and reliable distribution system. The system and
boxes are erected by the DHBVN at its cost. The villagers are required to give
consent through Panchayat resolution for it. The DHBVN lays this system on
first come first serve basis. The incentive may be to declare the villages as
zero cut villages which means that a power supply better than that of the
towns.
Giving a
presentation in the meeting, Mr. V K Chaudhary said that a new system for
performance monitoring of employees was being chalked out in which
responsibility and accountability of all staff would be fixed by observing
performance of each official.
