DPS Pinjore celebrates World Health Day

The Simply Health Plus is doing a conscientious Job in Delhi Public School Pinjore.Besides the regular medical check ups and providing other medical facilities, the students are sensitized on various health related issues ,their prevention and cure by the doctors from time to time during the session. Taking this task further.
 Dr.Gurmeet gave an educative and informative talk in the Assembly on World Health day. She told the children that World Health Day is observed on April 7 to mark the WHOs funding to draw world wide attention to importance of global health each year. 
The World Health Organization organizes International, regional and local events on this day to highlight a particular theme every year. She urged the students of the school to participate whole heartedly, as they had done last year ,and spread the message of Healthy Living.
This years Theme Anti-microbial resistance and its global spread focuses on the need for Government and stakeholders to implement the policies and practices needed to prevent and counter the emergence of highly resistant micro organisms. 

Anti-microbial resistance threatens the continued effectiveness of many medicines used today to treat the sick .On the other hand this resistance jeopardizes important advances being made against major infections. WHO has also launched a world wide campaign to safeguard these medicines for the future generation. The doctor asked the children to be a part of this campaign directly or indirectly by----- Stopping self medication, Referring to a well qualified physician in case of any ailment, Getting proper examination and diagnoses done and also making necessary use of the medicine. The doctor concluded her talk with the following quote;
The health of an eye seems to demand a horizon. We are never tired, so long as we can see far enough.
The coordinator Dr. Kiran Prabhakar, on behalf of the principal thanked the speaker and wished everyone a healthy life.
