Haryana sends proposal to NCRPB

The Haryana Government has sent a proposal to the  National Capital Region Planning Board (NCRPB) for upgradation and  renovation of three roads at the cost of Rs 119 core in the Ateli  Assembly constituency.
          Giving this information here today, the Chief Parliamentary  Secretary, Mrs. Anita Yadav, said that out of this amount, Rs 65 crore  would be spent on upgradation of the road from Kanina to Ateli, Rs 30  crore on the  Ateli-Kheri stretch, and Rs 9 crore on the road from  Kakrala to Mandola.
          She said that once okayed by the NCRPB, this would be the first grant for the area after inclusion of Mahendergarh district in the NCR. The  upgradation of the road from Kanina to Ateli would make it easy to  visit the border areas. The movement of traffic would  become easy
 from Rajasthan after upgradation of the road from Ateli to Kheri, she  added.
           Mrs Yadav said that Mahendergarh had been included in NCR  with the efforts of the Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, and  MPs Mr Deepender Singh Hooda and Ms. Shruti Choudhry. The state  government planned to send more proposals for other roads and drinking
 water projects to the NCRPB, she added.

Major relief to ex-servicemen and their dependents

Giving a major relief to ex-servicemen and their  dependents, the Haryana Government has enhanced the financial  assistance being given to them.
           Disclosing this here today, an official spokesman said that  the financial assistance being given to the disabled and blind  ex-serviceman had been increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 1,500 per month.
 Similarly, financial assistance given to orphan children of  ex-serviceman has been increased from Rs 600 to Rs 2.000 per month.
 Also, the financial assistance to ex-serviceman above the age of 60  years and their widows, who are not getting any kind of pension or  financial assistance, and war widows of Defence force personnel’s
 (Army, Navy and Air Force) who were killed in action during  war, has  been increased from Rs 1,000 to Rs 2,000 per month. These instructions  will come into force from February 19, 2014
 He said that the financial assistance being given to ex-serviceman of  pre-Independence era (World War-II Veterans) enrolled before August  31, 1945 and their widows, who are not receipt of any kind of pension  or financial assistance has been increased from Rs 1,500 to rs 3,000  per month. These instructions will come into force from prospective  effect.

Seven IAS officers promoted in Haryana

Haryana to set up internationa museum in Jhajjar

The Haryana Government would set up an international level museum at Jhajjar for preservation and display of the archaeological artefacts of Haryana. This museum would be run by newly constituted Swami Omanand Saraswati Sangrahalaya Samiti, Gurukul Jhajjar.
          A decision to this effect was taken in a meeting with representatives of Vidhya Arya Sabha under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today.
          It may be recalled that Mr. Hooda had desired that the priceless artefacts of Gurukul Jhajjar may be preserved and displayed by constructing a museum at Jhajjar. In this regard, a proposal was sent to Vidhya Arya Sabha, which was approved by the Sabha.
          In the meeting, a decision was made on the consensus of representatives of the Sabha that five acres of land would be provided by them for construction of this international level museum whereas the whole expenses of construction would be borne by the State Government.
          The representatives of the Sabha urged the Chief Minister that the museum should be run by an independent registered society on which it was decided to constitute ‘Swami Omanand Saraswati Sangrahalaya Samiti’ under the Chairmanship of the Chief Minister. Apart from this, Archaeology and Museums Minister, Mrs. Geeta Bhukkal and Principal Secretary of the Department would be the Vice-President of the Committee. Former Speaker of Delhi Legislative Assembly, Dr. Yoganand Shastri would also be a part of this Committee whereas Mr. Vrijanand Dev Karni would be the Curator of the museum. Mr. Karni also has knowledge of Brahmi, Swaroshthi scripts and Arabic and Urdu language.
          Mr. Vijay Vardhan informed the Chief Minister that archaeological artefacts preserved by Vidhya Arya Sabha would be displayed in this museum which include around 400 copper hold belonging to Indus Valley Civilization which were found in areas of Rewari, Hansi and Hisar, 1.5 lakh coins from Mauryan period to British period, about 10,000 stone structures of gods and goddesses from 1st century to 16th century, about 20,000 terracotta from 320 to 520 AD, toys and other sculptures, more than 20,000 beeds found in Naurangabad, Bhiwani and Agroha, semi precious stones and shells, about 800 manuscripts of 16th century including some of manuscripts which were written on ‘Tar Patra’ and about 500 seals with inscriptions of 10th century.
           Archaeology and Museums Minister, Mrs. Geeta Bhukkal, both the Principal Secretaries to Chief Minister, Mr. S.S. Dhillon and Dr. K.K. Khandelwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Finance, Mr. Rajan Gupta and Director General, Information and Public Relations Department, Mr. Sudhir Rajpal were also present in the meeting.

Haryana Transport D to recruit new drivers

Haryana Transport Minister  Aftab Ahmed today said that department is recruiting new drivers to meet the shortage of employees. He said that employees would get the benefit of Assured Career Progression scheme.  
   The Transport Minister was presiding over the meeting with the representatives of Haryana Transport Employees Union here today. The issues of making the activities of department more effective and efficient would be discussed in the next meeting with the leaders Haryana Transport Employees Union which is scheduled to be held on June 2, 2014.
            Mr Ahmed discussed about implementation of prior agreement with the employees. The Transport Minister said that the number of Haryana Transport buses has risen to 4,050 which is a record in the last 15 years. He said that during the year 2014-15, a fleet of 500 additional buses would be added in Haryana Transport thereby taking the number of buses to 4,500.
 

Home Ministry invites applications for highest civilian awards

The Ministry of Home Affairs, Government of India has invited applications for providing highest civilian awards of the country Padma Awards namely Padma Vibhushan, Padma Bhushan and Padma Shri. These awards are announced on the eve of the Republic Day every year.
A circular has been issued by the Chief Secretary in this regard. As per the circular the last date of receipt of recommendations for the Padma Awards-2015 to the State Government is August 10, 2014. The last date for sending recommendations to Union Ministry of Home Affairs is September 15, 2013. The cutoff date has to be strictly adhered to as it might not be possible to consider the recommendation received after the cutoff date.
These awards are given for distinguished services in various fields of activities such as Art, Literature and Education, Sports, Medicine, Social Work, Science and Engineering including government service. All persons without distinction of race, occupation, position or sex are eligible for these awards.
Nominations or recommendations are invited for Padma Awards every year from all States and UT Governments. The detailed bio data including detailed write up in narrative form have to be clearly indicated and the contribution of his or her in the respective field of activity has also to be clearly specified for applying for this award.
As per the circular, efforts might be made to identify talented persons from amongst the weaker sections of the society, like Schedule Castes and Schedule Tribes, handicapped persons, women etc. who deserve to be decorated with the award. If any government employee or officer is recommended for the awards, his recommendation along with his personal file should be sent through the concerned head of the department or Administrative Secretary.
The circular also states that in addition to the bio-data of the person recommended for the award, a citation in narrative form has to be forwarded in both Hindi and English languages clearly bringing out the achievements and contribution of the person in their respective fields of activity.
The decoration is normally not conferred posthumously. However, in highly deserving cases, government could consider giving an award posthumously if the person proposed to be honored has died recently, say within a period of one year preceding the Republic Day on which it is proposed to announce the award.

HTPD invites suggestions on newly framed policy

Haryana Town and Country Planning Department has invited suggestions on the newly framed policy for adequate existing approach to the applied area for grant of license under the Haryana Development and Regulation of Urban Areas Act, 1975. While stating this here today, a spokesman of department said that suggestions in this regard by general public and all other stakeholders could be forwarded through e-mail totcphry2@gmail.com, ctp1.haryana.tcp@gmail.com ordtp.hqpp.tcp@gmail.com upto July 27, 2014. The revised policy is available on website www.tcpharyana.gov.in.
Giving details about the revised policy parameters, he said that the condition required for the site to be considered to have a category –I existing approach for the purpose of grant of licence included minimum required width of the existing approach to the applied land is through a public road or rasta of not less than 4-karam (22 ft) further linking to a higher order existing road or public rasta. However, the licence applications where exiting approach to the site is through a minimum 11 ft. wide road may also be considered in case the applied site abuts acquired alignment of the sector road and there is not stay regarding construction on the land falling under the abutting section road.
Any pending licence application received prior to January 24, 2011 where existing approach is from public rasta of less than 22 ft width would also be required to provide an existing approach of at least 22 ft width to be considered for grant of licence. However, its seniority shall not be affected on account of provision of such 4 karam rasta at a later date in case any such applicant is able to fulfill existing approach norms within three months of issuance of this policy excluding any such period involved in procedural formalities of any Government agency concerned.
The existing approach to an applied site shall also be considered as adequate for grant of licence provided it fulfills criteria that the applied site abuts any already constructed sector road or internal circulation road of approved sectoral plan (of min. 18m/24m width as the case may be) provided its entire stretch required for approach is licensed and is further leading up to at least 4 karam wide public rasta.
The applied site, even though not abutting any public rasta is accessible from a minimum 4 karam wide rasta through adjoining own land of the applicant (but not applied for licence).The applicant shall however be required to donate at least 4 karam wide strip from its adjoining own land in favour of the Gram Panchayat/Municipality in order to connect the applied site to existing 4 karam rasta. The seniority of the application in such case shall be considered from the date of mutation of such adjoining land in favour of the applicant or the date of application for licence, whichever is later, irrespective of the date of hibbanama entered in favour of Gram Panchayat/Municipality.
The applied site, even though not abutting any public rasta is accessible from a minimum 4 karam wide rasta through adjoining other’s land and the land-owner of the adjoining land donates at least 4 karam wide strip of land to the Gram Panchayat/Municipality, in a manner that the applied site gets connected to existing public rasta of at least 4 karam width. The seniority of the application in such case shall be considered from the date of registration of the hibbanama in favour of the Gram Panchayat/Municipality.
Under category II, in case the applied site relies on any other existing approach of minimum 4 karam width for the purpose of grant of licence including that from an internal constructed road of a licenced plotted colony (other than 24m/18m wide road as approved in the sectoral plan), and, excluding any temporary approach through an integrated licensed colony, the same shall be examined on merits on case-to-case basis, and shall be further subject to that the Director may allow such proposal in case he is satisfied that the same is in the overall interest of comprehensive planned development of the sector/ colony. Any such approval shall however be subject to the compliance of necessary conditions/ safeguards by the applicant as may be specified by the Director. The seniority of such applications shall be considered from the date when the Director grants its approval for such approach upon the compliance of conditions as specified by the Director.
It is however clarified that, the policy parameters as above shall not be applicable on any licence application for additional area contiguous to an already licensed colony, provided the earlier licensed area fulfills any of the existing approach road parameters as indicated above. This policy shall also not have any bearing on the merits of any licence that stands granted before the issuance of this policy. This policy shall be applicable from the date when finalised policy instructions in this regard are issued.

Sale of plots of Jagjeevan Nagar Improvement Trust approved

The Haryana Cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, has decided to sell plots of improvement trust in 11-F, Jagjeevan Nagar, Hisar, measuring 60 square yard each to 18 persons who are in unauthorized possession of the land at the current market rate of Rs 12,000 per square yard.
The cabinet also approved the regularization of encroachment of Municipal Committee, Barwala. It has given approval for the sale of land in question, measuring 14 kanals, 11 marlas and 18.15 square yards comprised in khewat no. 7097 min Khatoni no. 8003, Khasra No.  949, 1573, 1577, 1582, 1655 as per Jamabandi for the year 2008-09 of the revenue estate of Barwala to the 64 occupants who are in possession for more than 20 years as the current market rates of Rs. 5,000 per square of the land situated within 150 yards from the firni (outer way) and @4000 per square yard for land located beyond onward, plus development charges at the rate of Rs. 80 per square
yard.
The cabinet has also approved the proposal of the Urban Local Bodies Department Regarding sale of land of Municipal Committee Ladwa to Mr. Ashok Kumar, resident of Ward No. 7, Hinori Road, Ladwa.
PASSENGER TAX EXEMPTION: The Haryana Cabinet today approved exemption of passenger tax on auto rickshaws having seating capacity of three excluding driver. The Cabinet also approved exemption of goods tax on vehicles having gross weight up to one tonne.
At present, auto rickshaws were being charged Rs 425 per annum per seat as passenger tax. Similarly, goods tax from public carriers and private carriers having loading capacity not exceeding 10 tonnes were being charged Rs 4000 per annum as goods tax.
Now, Auto Rickshaw having up to three seats excluding driver have been exempted from passenger tax subject to the condition that it would be allowed to operate only upto five kms beyond the municipal limits.
Similarly, goods vehicles having gross vehicle weight upto one tonne have been exempted from payment of goods tax.
INDEPENDENT CARE OF TEACHER EDUCATORS: The Haryana Government has decided to create an independent cadre of Teacher Educators that is Professor, Associate Professor and Assistant Professor in State Council of Educational Research and Training (SCERT), Distrcit Institute of Education and Training (DIETs), Block Institute of Education and Training (BIETs) and Government Elementary Teacher Training Institute (GETTI) so as to improve the quality of teacher education.
This was approved in Cabinet meeting which met under the chairmanship of Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today. The meeting also approved the Service Rules-2014 for separate cadre of Teacher Educators in SCERT, DIETs, BIETs and GETTIs.
BENEFIT OF FULL PERIOD: Chandigarh, May 28 Now, employees in Haryana would get the benefit of full period of service of daily wages instead of half period for the purposes of calculation of pension.
The Haryana Cabinet which met here today under the Chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, approved the amendment in sub-clause (i) of clause (f) of Rule 3.17 A of CSR-Volume-II.
The Cabinet also approved amendment to the Haryana Civil Service (Judicial Branch) and the Haryana Superior Judicial Service (Revised Pension) Part-I Rules 2011.
The decision has been taken so that minimum pension and family pension in case of judicial officers retiring in first ACP could be restricted to the amount worked out on the basis of first ACP pay scale.

Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993 to be amended

The Haryana cabinet which met here today under the chairmanship of Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, decided to amend the Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993.
Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993 would be called Haryana Moto Vehicles (Amendment) Rules 2014. In the Haryana Motor Vehicles Rules, 1993 the words ‘State Transport Controller’ wherever occurring would be substituted by the word Transport Commissioner and the word ‘Additional State Transport Controller or Joint State Transport Controller’ by the words ‘Additional or Joint Transport Commissioner’.
In the said rules, for Rule 3 the following rule would be substituted namely (1) Each Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil) in the would be the licensing authority to issue licences under Chapter II within the area of his territorial jurisdiction in respect of a non-transport
vehicle.
(2) Each Secretary, regional Transport Authority and Assistant Secretary, Regional Transport Authority would be the licensing authority to issue licences under Chapter II within the area of his territorial jurisdiction in respect of a transport vehicle provided
that the licensing authority, in respect of a person requiring driving licences for both non-transport vehicles, would be the Secretary, Regional Transport Authority and Assistant Secretary, Regional Transport Authority.
(3) Each Secretary, Regional Transport Authority and Assistant Secretary, Regional Transport Authority would be the licensing authority to issue licences under Chapter III within the area of his territorial jurisdiction.
In rule 9- in sub-rule(i), the words in consultation with the Chief Medical Officer of the district concerned, would be deleted.
In Rule 33, for the words ‘District Transport Officer and Assistant District Transport Officer", wherever occurring, words ‘Secretary, Regional Transport Authority and Assistant Secretary, Regional Transport Authority’ would be substituted; and in the first proviso the words ‘or an omini bus’ would be deleted.
The Rule 59-A would be omitted. In the rule, 225, in sub-rule(1), for clauses (ix) and (x), Director General/ Director State Transport and Additional/ Joint Director State Transport would be substituted. In rule 226, in sub-rule(1), in the Schedule, for serial numbers 9, 10
and entries there against under column 1 and 2, the serial numbers and entries which would be substituted include ‘9 Director General/Director State Transport; 10 Additional/ Joint Director, State Transport.

Govt College Badli to be named after Late Dheerpal

Haryana Government revises pay scale of various categories of employees

          While giving this information here today, a spokesman of Finance Department said that in Agriculture and Horticulture Department, the pay scale of Agriculture Development officer (ADO) and Horticulture Development Officer (HDO) has been revised from existing  PB-2, 9300-34800 Grade Pay 3600 to PB-2, 9300-34800 Grade Pay-4200. Similarly, the Pay Scale of Block Agriculture officer (BAO), Technical Assistant (TA) and Demonstrator has been revised from PB-2, 9300-34800 GP-4000 to PB-2, 9300-34,800 GP-4200 and that of Sub Divisional Agriculture Officer (SDAO), Subject Matter Specialist (SMS), Assistant Plant Protection officer (APPO), Assistant Cane Development Officer (ACDO), Assistant Soil Conservation officer (ASCO), Quality Control inspector (QCI), Assistant Cane Commissioner (ACC), Assistant Marketing Officer (AMO), Assistant Seed Production Officer (ASPO) Class-II, Soil Survey Officer, Flourisculturist, Vegetable Specialist, District Horticulture Officer (DHO), Fruit Specialist and Superintendent, Horticulture from existing PB-2, 9300-34800 GP-4200 to PB-2, 9300-34,800 GP-4600.

          He said that in Government Industrial Training Institutes, the Pay Scale of Principal (Women) TTC, the pay scale has been revised from PB-2 9300-34800 GP-3600 to PB-2 9300-34800 GP-4200. HPSC to conduct screeing test on June 1

 Haryana Public Service Commission announced for the general information of the candidates who have applied against Advertisement No. 2/2012.
The Commission will conduct the Screening Test on June 1, 2014 (Sunday) for the post of Assistant Engineer (Civil, Mechanical, Electrical) in Irrigation Department and A.E. (Civil) in Irrigation Department Haryana for posting in BBMB. The candidates who have attained the degree through Distance Education Mode from Vinayak Mission University Tamil Nadu, IASE Gandhi Vidya Mandir Sardar Shahar, Rajasthan and JRN Vidyapeeth University, Udaipur, Rajasthan will not be considered to be eligible for the Screening Test to be held on June 1, 2014 (Sunday) at Chandigarh.
The Commission have cancelled their candidature and Admit Card already sent be treated as withdrawn. They will not be allowed to participate/ admit in the screening test to be held on June 1, 2014 (Sunday) at Chandigarh.
 

Haryana submits Rs 810 crore PIP to Centre

The Haryana Government has submitted Rs 810-crore Programme Implementation Plan (PIP) to the Union Government for launching key vertical programmes which include mental health and
healthcare of the elderly persons in the state.
Stating this here today, Haryana Health Minister, Rao Narender Singh, said that out of the total amount, a sum of Rs 188 crore has been proposed for such new vertical programmes as National Mental Health Programme (NMHP), National Programme for the Healthcare of Elderly (NPCHE), National Tobacco Control Programme (NTCP), National Oral Health Program (NOHP), National Programme for Prevention and Control of Cancer, Diabetes, Cardiovascular Disease and Stroke (NPCDCS).
The minister said that under the PIP, the other initiatives proposed include construction of four Maternal and Child Health  Wings at Sirsa, Narnaul, Jhajjar and Ambala; Preconception Care Package; Infant Young Child Feeding counseling centres; Kangaroo Mother Care (KMC) room;  establishment of New Nutrition Rehabilitation Center (NRC); Diarrhea training and treatment units (DTTU); Strengthening of Peer Learning and skill Demonstrations Sites (PLSDS) in seven High Priority Districts and Newborn Screening Lab.
He said that 16 DEICc had been constructed in the state and equipment for 21 DEICs had been procured. Five new MMUs have also been procured.
During the current year, there is a plan to open New AFHC in 11 districts in sub-divional hospitals.
With a view to extending the health services offered in the state, emphasis has been laid on maternal and child health care programmes.
He said that intra-partum and immediate post partum care standards are being implemented at all labour rooms to reduce MMR, still-births and IMR. Haryana is the first state to introduce and implement preconception care package in for better maternal and child out comes.
He disclosed that as a result of the maternal and child health care programmes being implemented in the state, health index has shown considerable improvement. The mother mortality rate has been reduced to 146 from 186 in 2004-05.
Similarly, infant mortality rate has been reduced from 61 to 42. Institutional deliveries have also been encouraged which have now been increased to 84.2 per cent against 23 per cent in 2004, the minister added.

HSIIDC invites bids for allotment of sites

Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructure Development Corporation has invited bids for the allotment of sites for one Senior Secondary School, six double storey booths, one dhaba and one nursing home or clinic and eight residential plots in Industrial Model Township (IMT), Bawal and 78 dormitory units and 294 single room dwelling units for industrial workers in Industrial Estate, Phase-V in Kundli.
            While giving information on this here today, the spokesman of the corporation said that the corporation has invited sealed bids for the allotment of site for one Senior Secondary School covering an area of 3.65 acres in Sector 2 at IMT, Bawal from registered educational society, Institution, trust and company having minimum three years experience in the field of education, by June 16, 2014. Similarly, sealed bids for the allotment of six sites  for double storey booths having permission of basement, ground and first floor, measuring 75.625 sq. mtrs, for one dhaba measuring 343.75 sq mtrs, for one nursing home or clinic measuring 563.75 sq mtrs, IMT Bawal, have been invited by May 27, 2014. The reserved price of Rs 23,690 per sq mtr has been fixed for the allotment of eight residential plots in IMT Bawal, measuring 450 sq mtrs each and bids for this would be open on May 30, 2014, he added.
             He said that the Corporation has also invited bid for the construction of housing units in modern industrial estates at Kundli for industrial workers. This construction work would be carried out six acres of area in the Phase V of Industrial Estate. As many as seventy-eight dormitory units having capacity of accommodating 12 persons each and 294 single room dwelling units would be constructed. The tentative allotment price per unit for dormitory is Rs 37.50 lakh and Rs 8.65 lakh for single room dwelling units. The closing date of the scheme is  June 11, 2014. Rs 46.07 crore budget for Mansa Devi Temple approved

The 14th meeting of Shri Mata Mansa Devi Shrine Board was held under the Chairmanship of Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today in which a number of significant decisions have been taken to improve infrastructural facilitate for the pilgrims visiting the temple.
Mr. Hooda directed to provide better infrastructural facilities to the pilgrims in temples, dharamshalas and old age homes falling under the Board. The meeting also approved the budget of about Rs 46.07 crore of the Board for the financial year 2014-15 with an increase of five per cent as compare to the budget of last financial year which was about Rs 36.96 crore.
Mr. Hooda also directed to constitute a committee under the Chairmanship of Chief Administrator of the Board to regularize the contractual employees of the Board who have been working against sanctioned posts. He said that the pujaris and employees working in the temples on contract basis would not be engaged through the contractors. From now onwards, their contract would be directly with the Board and their salary would be directly deposited in their bank accounts. The Chief Minister also approved the proposal to provide special pay of Rs 2500 to Senior Head Pujari. He also directed to set up a police post in the temple premises to further strengthen security in the temple.
Mr. Hooda also approved the proposal to purchase land alongwith the Mata Kali Temple, Kalka on collector rate to provide better infrastructural facilities to people. Apart from this, he also approved renovation of ‘Mundan Ghat’. Mr. Hooda said that with a view to provide safe passage to the pilgrims upto the temple, as many as 55 street lights and high mast lights would be installed only the newly constructed road. Also, underground water tank having capacity of four lakh litres would be set up to provide potable drinking water to the pilgrims.

HAU increases DA to its pensioners

Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University (CCHAU) has increased the Dearness Allowance of its pensioners from 90 per cent to 100 per cent. The increased DA will be applicable from January 1, 2014.
Stating this here today, Mr Naveen Jain, Finance Controller, CCHAU, said it would benefit as many as 2,500 pensioners. The order has also been sent to the HAU branch of State Bank of India. Soon, the bank will deposit the instalment of increased DA in the accounts of the pensioners.
Mr Jain said that the increase in DA of pensioners would put an additional annual burden of Rs 6 crore on the university.
PUBLIC HOLIDAY ON MAY 25: The Haryana Government has notified that May 25, 2014 would be observed as Public Holiday in the offices, educational and other institutions of the State Government, Boards and Corporations situated in the jurisdiction of the areas of poll on account of poll for Municipal General Elections to Municipal Committee, Dharuhera, District Rewari to enable employees to cast their vote.

Haryana to disburse old age pension through banks

The Haryana Government has decided to disburse old age allowance, widow pension and pension to the physically challenged through banks. A decision to this effect was taken at a meeting held here today under the chairmanship of the Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda. Mr Hooda made it clear that the scheme would be implemented in a phased manner in cities and villages having bank branches.
He said that, however, those villages which do not have bank branches; the system of disbursement of pension through Sarpanches would be continued. Those beneficiaries who have bank accounts would be able to take the benefit of this scheme.
In the meeting, Mr. Hooda was apprised that a pilot project was implemented in Barwala, disrtrict Panchkula to distribute the social security pension through Banks and this has been successful. On the same lines, it has been decided to replicate the same method in cities and villages having bank branches.
Mr. Hooda was apprised that with the disbursement of pension to the beneficiaries through banks, the dependency of beneficiaries on village Sarpanches would be significantly reduced. Moreover, the amount of pension would be deposited in their bank accounts on first of every month. He was also informed that the beneficiaries could withdraw their pension on any working day in a month which would also avoid heavy rush as is witnessed in case of disbursement of pension through Sarpanches.
Haryana Finance Minister  Harmohinder Singh Chatha, Principal Secretaries to Chief Minister namely Mr S.S Dhillon and Dr. K.K Khandelwal, Principal OSD Mr. M. Israel Ambassador calls on Haryana CM

Israel Ambassador in India Alon Ushpiz called on Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Bhupinder Singh Hooda in New Delhi today and discussed various projects for implementation in Haryana State.

Mr Ushpiz appreciated the efforts and cooperation extended by Haryana Government in implementation of these projects and said that   'we love Haryana and its people'.
The Israel Ambassador, Mr Ushpiz invited Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Hooda to visit Israel. Haryana CM Mr Hooda accepted the invitation and said that he will visit Israel at appropriate time.
Mr Hooda also expressed his gratitude towards cooperation and support given by Israel in the field of Horticulture in Haryana Mr Hooda said that India will be highly benefitted by the projects being implemented in collaboration with Israel in near future.
