10 HAU students awarded JR Fellowship

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 3
Ten students of College of Agriculture, CCS Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar have been awarded Junior Research Fellowship (JRF) by Indian Council of Agricultural Research (ICAR).
          While stating this today, Prof.  Sucheta Khokhar said that Dean  Ranveen Singh, Kamal Prakash Meena, Durgesh Kumar, Rohitash Kumar, Todar Mal, Arvind Gupta, Mukul Gupta, Jailal Gayakwar, Sandeep Yadav and Kiran Swami  had qualified  the JRF examination 2010-11 conducted by ICAR at all India level.
          She said that Ranveen Singh got 6th rank at All India level in general category, whereas Kamal Prakash Meena got 28th position in general category and 1st rank in S.C. category in the field of Agronomy.  Likewise, Mr. Durgesh got 16th rank in Horticulture, Mr. Arvind Gupta got 30th rank in Plant Biotechnology and Mr. Sandeep Kumar secured 43rd rank in Agricultural Economics.
          Prof. Khokhar congratulated these students and motivated them to continue this spirit to achieve further success in life.
          Notably, this is the second big success of students of College of Agriculture in recent past. Earlier, 58 passing graduates (42 of Hisar Campus and 16 of Kaul Campus) have got placement in Oriental Bank of Commerce (OBC) as Agriculture Officers.
