Chandigarh part of Haryana, claims Chief Minister Hooda

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today said that Chandigarh is part of Haryana and many big Congress leaders of the state have struggled for long for Chandigarh. Also, the people of the state like Chandigarh as the capital of Haryana.
             The Chief Minister was interacting with media persons after redressing the grievances of the people in Rohtak today. 
He said that along with agriculture the state has witnessed tremendous industrial development. He said that the state government is promoting its policy of  industrialization. Like the Maruti Suzuki Company, many other such big companies would set up their units in Haryana.
 With car buyers shifting their focus to diesel, India’s largest car maker Maruti Suzuki India Limited (MSIL) would invest Rs 1,700 crore to set up a new diesel engine plant at its Gurgaon complex that would become operational by mid 2013. It has also decided to pump in another Rs 900 crore at its upcoming Research and Development centre (R and D) at Rohtak. 
            Mr Hooda said that today, Haryana has become the first choice of many national and international companies for industrial investment. Many big industrial houses including Suzuki, Asian Paints, Maruti, Hero Honda, Footwear Design and Development Institute, Hitech Plast and Sabarkantha Dairy have shown interest in the State.
            In reply to a question he said that the Land Acquisition Policy of Haryana has become a role model for the entire country. Along with land compensation, attractive royalty given every year is also a big facility provided to the land owners. He said that the people view land acquisition in rural areas of Haryana as a means of  progress. Residents of many villages have expressed their gratitude, he added.  
A number of people including Sarpanches and villagers who were led by Mr Jaideep Singh Dhankhar, expressed their gratitude to Mr Hooda for approving the proposal of the Suzuki company to set up its manufacturing facility for two wheelers in Rohtak. They said that with the setting up of this plant, the economy of the area would get a big boost.

Medical camp for Army veterans in Bhiwani

 A medical camp for  veterans of Indian Army will be organized  at Bapora in district Bhiwani  on March 27 and 28,2012.
While stating this today, a spokes person of Indian Army said that the camp would bne organized under the  aegis of Hisar Military Station and about  3000 veterans of the region would be benefitted by this welfare measure. The theme of the medical camp is “Swasth Sareer Sukhmay Jewan”.  Screening facilities of anaemia, diabetes, surgical ailments, gynaecological problems, paediatrics, eye and skin disorders will be available at the camp in addition to the state of art Operation Theatre on wheels. 
The camp will also have facilities for health checkup of families of local serving soldiers as well as veterans and their dependants. A health exhibition showcasing awareness on health issues will form part of the event.  Civil populace will also benefit from this initiative as the civil administration will be incorporating their medical resources and staff for the camp. 
            On the sidelines of the camp, multifarious welfare initiatives to include Pension Adalats, information dissemination by Army Welfare Housing Organisation (AWHO) and Resettlement Directorate as also felicitation of Veer Naris of the region would also be undertaken.  A grand equipment display showcasing the might of the Indian Army will also be organised to motivate local youth to join the Army.

A blend of music, dance and drama was presented during ‘Gaiety 2012’, the  prize distribution and cultural programme of St. Vivekanand Millennium School, Pinjore on first day of annual function at Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Auditorium, HMT Township Pinjore.
 It was based upon the theme “Youth – A call for Arise Awake and Know Your Strength”, depicting the inherent energy and power of today’s youth. On the first day, Nalini  Mimani, HES, DEO, Panchkula was the chief guest whereas Anita Anand, DEEO, Panchkula was the guest of honour. 
The other distinguished dignitaries present were M.M.Rai Punj, chairman, Punj Education Society, New Delhi, Karan Singh, Ex-Dy.DEO,  Yuvraj, Manager, St.Vivekanand Senior Secondary School, Delhi. The guests were given a traditional welcome. Later, the Chief Guest appreciated the work displayed by the students in the exhibition. The Bagpiper Band of the school was played as a mark of salute to the guests.
The programme began with the customary lighting of the lamp and floral tribute to Swami Vivekanand by the chief guest.  Piyush Punj, School Principal extended a formal welcome. The programme commenced in accordance to our rich cultural tradition with the blessings of the Almighty through Ganesh Vandana. ‘Anubhuti‘ by K.G. kids was a tribute to Swami Vivekanand with a very humble prayer, ‘Teri panah mein hume rakhna’. ‘Aavesh’ depicted the anger of youth which brings pain to others and oneself but if conserved can be channelized and used for the growth of country. Senior students stressed on ‘Save Water’  whereas ‘Robotic Dance’ showed the advancement in technology. ‘Yoga’ emphasized on physical fitness for the youth to shoulder the responsibility in country’s progress. The spotlight show which brought tears to the eyes of everybody present was ‘Istritav’ wherein the children saluted mothers for their unconditional love and affection and thus pledged to reciprocate their love by doing good to them. It also epitomized the new avatar of liberated 21st century Indian women. Annual Report was read out by school Head Girl, Nidhi  and Head Boy, Hushan Kumar  highlighting the performances and achievements in different spheres of education during the session.
The chief guest lauded efforts of the school for the multifaceted grooming and holistic development of young minds under its care.The musical clinic in the form of Grand Finale refreshed the spectators when the whole school danced together. The function concluded with Vote of Thanks by A.R. Sharma, President, SMC to those who had come from far and near to make this programme a great success followed by National Anthem.

HSCST announces Essay Writing resultds

Haryana to fill up 473 posts of physically handicapped

 Haryana Staff Selection Commission will fill up 473 posts of physically handicapped by the end of this year as these have already been advertised.
This was informed in a meeting chaired by Haryana Chief Secretary, Mrs Urvashi Gulati here today regarding filling up of backlog of physically handicapped in the services of the Government, Public Sector Undertakings and Universities.
It was informed that out of these 473 posts, interview for 65 posts had already been conducted. The maximum number of these posts were of Uttar Haryana Bijli Vitran Nigam where  228 Assistant Linemen and 25 Lower Division Clerk would be recruited, followed by 29 posts of Patwari in  Directorate of Land Records, 23 Junior Engineer of Irrigation, 18 Canal Patwari of office of Engineer–in-Chief, Irrigation, 17 staff MPHW (Male) of Health (Malaria), 13 staff nurses of Health Services and 10 inspectors of Transport Department. These posts would be filled up by year end.
Mrs Gulati said that   instructions were issued from time to time to all the departments to clear the backlog of vacancies for posts reserved for the physically challenged persons in consonance with section 33 of the Persons with Disability   (Equal Opportunities, protection of Rights and Full Participation) Act 1995. The State Government was serious to clear the backlog of posts for physically challenged for group A to D posts in all the departments. The departments were directed to mark out the backlog of such vacancies and send the requisition to Haryana Public Service Commission and Haryana Staff Selection Commission on priority basis.         The recruiting agencies were also directed to fill these posts by launching special campaigns and fairs and recommend candidates as early as possible. Under the Act, at least three per cent of posts in government departments were to be reserved for disabled persons.

Enrolment in TA in Ludhiana from March 26 to 28

 A recruitment rally for Territorial Army Soldiers (General Duty) & Soldiers (Tradesmen – Clerk, Washerman, House Keeper and Chef (cook))  will be held at 103 Infantry Battalion (TA) Sikh LI  at GT road, Milerganj, Ludhiana from March 26 to 28 for candidates from Punjab, Haryana, Himachal Pradesh, J&K, UT Chandigarh and National Capital Territory (NCT) of Delhi.  
March 26 is for candidates from Haryana, Himachal Pradesh and NCT of Delhi while March 27 is for candidates from Punjab, J&K and UT Chandigarh.  Documentation and medical examination for screened candidates will be held on March 28.   Candidates should be in the age group of 18 to 42 years, matriculate with 45% marks except dists of Lahul, Spiti and Kinnaur of (HP) for which 8th standard is minimum for General Duty.  For clerk 10+2 exam pass Arts, Commerce, Science with English) with minimum 50% of marks in aggregate and minimum 40% marks in each subject and 10th class simple pass for Tradesmen, Washerman, house Keeper & Chef (cook).  Candidate’s weight (minimum) should be 50 kg, Chest (minimum) 77-82 Cms and Height (minimum) 160 Cms  and should be gainfully employed with a certificate to this effect from the employer.

Applications invited in Aarohi schools in Haryana

 Haryana School Education Department has invited applications for admission in 36 Aarohi Schools located at ten districts of the state for academic session 2012-13.
While stating this here today, a spokesman from the department said that the application for admission were being invited for the Aarohi schools located in the districts of Panipat, Palwal, Mewat, Fatehabad,
Mehendergarh, Kaithal, Jind, Hisar, Bhiwani and Sirsa.
 He said that all middle and matric pass or appearing students would be eligible to appear for entrance test fixed on March 30 for class nine and eleven in the streams of arts, commerce and science.
Giving information about the examination centres, the spokesman said that the government senior secondary school of Bapoli would be the examination centre for Panipat district, the government senior secondary schools of Hasanpur, Hatthin, Hodal, Palwal would be examination centres for Palwal district, government senior secondary schools of Ferozepur, Jhirkha, Nagina, Nuh, Punhana and Taoru would be

Equal prize money for boys and girls in chess meets

In its Annual General Body meeting the Haryana Chess Association decided to give equal prize money to boys as well as girls. Earlier boys used to get more prize money in comparison to girls. A resolution in this connection was moved by Mr. Pawan Kaushik of Bhiwani which was approved unanimously in the AGM of the association which was held under the chairmanship of Mr. Naresh Garg – President of The Haryana Chess Association on Sunday 11-03-2012 in Gurgaon.
 After the meeting Mr. Naresh Sharma- General Secretary informed that following other decision were taken:
1. Haryana State (Junior) Chess Championship would be held at Sonepat in the Month of April-May 2012.
    The exact date will be informed very soon.
2. Haryana State Open Chess Championship-2012 would be held at Gurgaon from 27-29th April-2012.
3. State Rapid Tournament would be held at Bhiwani on 14th & 15th April.
4. Gurgaon International Open tournament in December-2012

Counselling for selected conductors from April 2 to 4

Haryana Transport Department will hold first counselling of the candidates who have been declared as successful by the Haryana Staff Selection Commission, Panchkula for the post of Conductor from April 2 to 4 at Sir Chhotu Ram Stadium, Sonipat Road, Rohtak to allocate the depot for posting in various districts.
The candidates from Merit No. 1-700 have been  invited on April 2, and from Merit No. 701-1400 on April 3. Similarly , candidates from Merit No. 1401-1902 have been invited on April 4. Only first 1788 candidates in the merit list are invited in this round of counselling. The candidates having result withheld and in waiting list are not considered. Rest of the candidates, from merit No.1903 onwards, will be invited in the second round through a separate public notice and individual intimation.
          The complete merit list of the result declared by Haryana Staff Selection Commission, Panchkula is available at the website of the department  that is  www.hartrans.gov.in.  All the candidates may take a note of their merit number from the website. It is mandatory for the candidates to fill up the counseling form complete in all respects, indicating their preferences for the depot sent through a registered post. The filled up form must reach the Application In-charge, office of  Director General, State Transport Haryana, Chandigarh before March 26. In case of failure to appear for counseling, the candidates would be given place of posting as per their rank in the merit list and the vacancies available.

Science Essay Writing Competition results
