Free residential plots given to 9500 homeless families

CHANDIGARH, NOV 28
The Haryana Government has given free residential plots each of 100 sq yard to about 9,500 poor homeless families in 154 villages of district Gurgaon under Mahatma Gandhi Gramin Basti Yojna.
          Such plots have been given to the beneficiaries within their own villages. This scheme of the government is proving very beneficial  for the poor who are admiring this commendable step taken by the government for their uplift.
          Expressing his gratitude towards Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, one of the beneficiaries namely Sham Veer, a resident of village Damdama of Sohna block said that the government, by providing free plots to the poor, has proved that it takes care of the interest of the poor. Another beneficiary Phool Singh said that the   government is working for the benefit of the poor. 
He said that not only plots are being given, but the government is also making efforts to improve   condition of their village. Another beneficiary Samsudhin, a resident of village Kiranki Khedli said that this scheme of the government would stop the migration of poor families. Earlier, due to unavailability of space,  the poor families were migrating from the villages.
