Czech Republic evinces interest in mutual cooperation with Hayana

Czech Republic has evinced keep interest in mutual cooperation with Haryana in the areas of water management, power and solid waste management.
   Ambassador of Czech Republic to India Mr. Miloslav Stasek along with a seven-member business delegation called on the Haryana Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda here today to discuss various issues of mutual interest and expressed desire to invest in Haryana.
          Haryana Renewable Energy Minister Mr. Harmohinder Singh Chattha, Power Minister Capt. Ajay Singh Yadav and Industries Minister Mr. Randeep Singh Surejewala also attended the meeting.
         Mr. Miloslav Stasek said that Haryana has witnessed fast pace development in almost all spheres during the last few years. He said that Czech Republic is keen on both the exchange of technology and setting up industrial units in the State. He said that in power sector, they intended to have mutual cooperation in the field of thermal power, Bio-mass and Solar Energy. Similarly, in the area of water management, they were keen on mutual cooperation in treatment of waste water and purification of drinking water. In the area of solid waste management, they intended to have mutual cooperation in production of energy from the communal waste and production of Bio fuel from agriculture waste.
          Mr. Hooda said that there is problem of brackish water in some parts of the State and this is the area where the State Government needs technological intervention so that the quality water is made available in these areas. Mr. Hooda said that the State Government had already identified the villages which were affected with the brackish water. He also offered the delegation to launch a pilot project in any one of these villages on experimental basis. On this Mr. Miloslav assured the Chief Minister that he would take up this matter with the Czech authorities. Mr. Hooda also designated Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Mr. S.S Dhillon as nodal officer of the State Government to hold future dialogues on the issues of mutual interest between Haryana and Czech.
          While laying stress on the need of treatment of waste water, Mr. Hooda said that 50 million liters per day waste water is available in the State. He said the Government has a plan to set up more Common Affluent Treatment Plants in the industrial areas of the State so that clean and quality water could be utilized by the society in large.
          In the meeting, the Czech Companies also gave a brief presentation about their activities.
          The Business delegation of Czech Republic comprised of Mr. Jiri Janicek, Commercial Counsellor, Embassy of Czech Republic, Ms. Katerina Gregorova, Economic and Political Affairs, Embassy of Czech Republic, Mr. Jaromir Klaban of Teco a.s., Mr. Rudolf van Arend of LIFETECH s.r.o, Ms. Martin Prochazka of Watersavers, Ms. Shivani Tiwari of Vitkovice Machinery Group and Ms. Ivan Kamenik of Czech Trade Promotion Agency, Mumbai.
          Haryana Chief Secretary Mr. S.C Choudhary, Principal Secretaries to Chief Minister Mr. S.S Dhillon and Dr. K.K. Khandelwal, Additional Chief Secretary, Industries Mr. Y.S Malik, Principal Secretary, Power Mr. Devender Singh and Managing Director, Haryana State Industrial and Infrastructural Development Corporation (HSIIDC) Mr. Tarun Bajaj were also present in the meeting.
