Bhagvad Gita leads one to the path of righteousness: Manohar Lal

Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that  that the knowledge as prescribed in Bhagvad Gita leads one to the path of righteousness. He said that any individual, who fails to attain the real message of Bhagvad Gita, keeps on finding dishonest ways to fulfill his desires which ultimately forces him to get involved in corruption.
          The Chief Minister was addressing the people after inaugurating the newly Shrimad Bhagwad Gita Dwar and Lord Krishna-Arjuna statue at Baldi Bypass Karnal today. The Shrimad Bhagwad Gita Dwar and Lord Krishna-Arjuna statue has been built at a cost of Rs 98 lakh.
          The Chief Minister while congratulating the gathering said that the State Government has planned to build seven such gates in the name of legends. He said that the work of one such gate is completed and the work of two other gates is in progress.  
          He further said that the construction of these gates will not only give special recognition to Karnal, but the people visiting Karnal will also get the message preached by these legends.
          He said that the practice of making such gates has been in place since ancient times and in the old times the Kings used to make such gates for the safety and identity of their cities.  He said that the old Karnal city also has many such gates with different names.
          The Chief Minister said that the State Government is holding discussions with Gita Manishi Swami Shri Gyananand Ji Maharaj and other saints, to prepare a plan for organizing three-day Gita Mahotsav in every state of India, on the same lines as the Gita Mahotsav being organized abroad.
          He said that as a result of the dedicated efforts made during the last four years, the Gita Mahotsav has now become an International level festival. He said that every year, diplomats and representatives of various nations of the world participate in the International Gita Mahotsav, being organized in Kurukshetra.
          He said that this year the International Gita Mahotsav was organized in Mauritius and then London in the month of February and August respectively.  He said that the Gita Mahotsav will now be held in Australia in March-2020 and Canada in the month of July.  
          He further informed that this year Nepal   is the partner country for the International Gita Mahotsav and the Nepal Government has expressed its desire to organise  a three day  International Gita Mahotsav in their country.
          On this occasion, Gita Manishi Swami Shri Gyananand Ji Maharaj said that Haryana Government efforts under the guidance of Chief Minister Mr. Manohar Lal, the International Gita Mahotsav being held in Kurukshetra has become famous in the entire world.
GITA RECITATION OF 18 VERSES: Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal said that on the auspicious occasion of International Gita Mahotsav, the energy of  Gita recitation of 18 verses of 18 chapters of the holy book Gita have been resonated all over the world by 18,000 students. He said that to ensure that this Vaishvik Path of Bhagvad Gita is done in every household; a 3-day group global Gita path will be organized in every district of Haryana on the auspicious occasion of Gita Jayanti  Mahotsav 2020.
          The Chief Minister was addressing the people of the State in the International Gita Mahotsav at the theme park of Kurukshetra today.
          On this occasion, all the students were given World Book of Records, London and medals inscribed with Vaishvik Path of Bhagvad Gita. The Chief Minister also announced that Monday will be a holiday in schools who are participating in the Vaishvik Path of Bhagvad Gita.
          The Chief Minister, while greeting from the stage of International Gita Mahotsav, being held at Kurukshetra said that last year, at this same time, the Vaishvik Path of Bhagvad Gita being recited by the 18 students was recorded in the World Book of Records, London.
          He said that the government is working to promote the Gita throughout the world. Today, on the auspicious occasion of International Gita Mahotsav, the teachings of the holy book Gita are being heard in many countries.
          The Chief Minister said that 20 countries have participated in the International Gita Mahotsav and the same was organized in Mauritius in February-2019 and then in August 2019 in London.  He said that the Gita Mahotsav will now be held in Australia in March-2020 and Canada in July.  He further informed that this year Nepal is the partner country for the International Gita Mahotsav and the Nepal Government  has assured that they will also be organising a three day  International Gita Mahotsav in their country.
          Meanwhile, dignitaries including Uttarakhand Governor Mrs. Baby Rani Maurya, Swami Mr Gyananand Ji Maharaj and other ministers and MLAs spoke on the occasion.
