SV Millennium students display their talent

Students of St. Vivekanand Millennium School, HMT Township, Pinjore, enthralled the audience with their endearing and enthusiastic performances in their Annual Function Day-2, “Gaiety-2010” on 28th March 2010 in Dr. B.R. Ambedkar Auditorium.
Chief Guest Mr. Prakash Sharan, Executive Director, HMT Ltd., Pinjore lighted the ceremonial lamp. The distinguished dignitaries present were Mr. M.M. Rai Punj, Chairman, Punj Education Society, New Delhi, Flg. Offr. Piyush Punj, President of the School Managing Committee, Mrs. Kamal Rai, School Director, Mr. Yuvraj Punj, Manager, St. Vivekanand School, New Delhi and members of the School Managing Committee. The parents made a very large audience. Principal, Mrs. Usha Bali welcomed all the guests and parents.
As its specialty, the school gives an opportunity to a large number of students for the various stage performances. This time also over 400 students, right from the tiny tots to the senior ones, showed their talents effectively. The function started with the traditional invocation of Ganesh Vandana.
The tiny tots mesmerized the audience with their performance. The students gave the message of saving environment through the Tableau “Heal the World”. Through yoga and aerobics, students of classes IV and VI made everybody aware of body balance, grace and body control. The action song, and dances like Cock, Clown & Salsa appealed elegantly to ears, eyes and minds.
Patriotism was enhanced among the audience through a dance number named “Paigham-e-Aman”. A message to save water was given through a Hindi Play “Jeevan Dhara”. The President expressed his pleasure at the achievements of the school and endorsed with a hope that the school would continue its march ahead.
The Chief Guest gave away the prizes to the students excelling in academic and all round activities. The school magazine “Deepayan” was released. The programme ended with heart-throbbing performance “Atulya Bharat” – Mission Hindustan which depicted that despite all the cultural and regional differences India stays untied against all odds. Dr. Rajinder Dhiman, Member School Managing Committee proposed a vote of thanks.
