CHANDIGARH, JUNE 8

The All India Football Federation Disciplinary Committee which met on June 6 at AIFF Football House, Dwarka, Noida has suspended Haryana coach Keshav Dutt and manager Hansraj for a period of 12 months from all the football activities. It is learnt that these Haryana officials submitted false documents regarding their players during the Sub-Junior National Football Championship organized by the Haryana Football Association in Gurgaon last year.
The committee ruled that these officials were primarily responsible for impersonating players namely Yogesh, Navdeep, Jaipal, Bachhan, Deeraj and Deepal Naval. These Haryana players have also been suspended for a period of 12 month.
The disciplinary committee has also fined the Haryana Football Association, headed by Deepender Hooda, Rs. 20,000 with a written warning that if any such infringement is repeated by any of its teams in the future, the said age group team will be debarred from playing in the said tournament for a period of one year
The AIFF Disciplinary Committee also proposed that all the five Vasco players (Remus Gomes, Jerose Oliveira, Koko Sakibo, Joy Ferrao and Johnson D’Souza) be suspended for three months with effect from the date of the order, with a fine of Rs. 5000 per player. The team manager, Gavin Ariauzo is also suspended for a period of three months and has been imposed a fine of Rs. 10,000. Suspension and fine are the result of the unsportsmanship behavior in the Vasco and HAL match in the Second Division I-League in Bangalore last month.
Since some of the above players may join other clubs, the committee has recommended that the fine imposed on them, if not paid well in time, be recovered before their transfer to any other team is cleared by the AIFF. In case they fail to pay the fine, the suspension may be continued till they pay the fine.
