Jeevan Suraksha Yogna for farmers, workers

The  Haryana Government has given its approval for implementation of “Mukhyamantri Kisan evm Khetihar Majdur Jeewan Suraksha Yojna” in the State.
            While giving details of the scheme here today, a spokesman of the Agriculture Department said that in  case of death at work the present special financial assistance has been increased from Rs two lakh to Rs five lakh. He said that in case of break of backbone or permanent disability during work, the present special financial assistance has been increased from Rs one lakh to Rs 2.5 lakh. Similarly, in case of fracture of two limbs or permanent severe injury at work the financial assistance of Rs 75,000 has been increased to Rs 1.87 lakh.
            He said that in case of fracture of one limb and permanent severe injury, the present special financial assistance has been increased from Rs 50,000 to Rs 1.25 lakh. He said that in case four fingers get cut off, one limb would be considered as fractured and in that case the special financial assistance has been increased from Rs 5,000 to Rs 1.25 lakh. The spokesman said that in case of cutting of a finger, the present special financial assistance has been increased from Rs 30,000 to Rs 75,000. While, in case of cutting of part of finger the present special financial assistance has been increased from Rs 15,000 to Rs 37,500.
