New Industrial policy to cater needs of all areas

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 9
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal disclosed that the upcoming new Industrial Policy of the State government would cater to the needs of all areas of the state. Under the policy the hilly areas and areas having less fertile land would be given due attention for the development of Industries and tourism so as to ensure equal growth all over the state.
The Chief Minister was addressing a well attended public meeting of Kalka Assembly constituency at Kalka  today. He said that Kalka and its adjoining area falls in the category of hilly region and the new Industrial Policy, which is being framed, would spur growth of the area in particular and the State in general. Despite the area is insurmountable, it is more close to nature and there are lot of possibilities of tapping tourism and industrial sector in this area.
                He announced to set up a college at Raipur Rani, grant of Rs.1.05 crore for stadia of Kalka college and construction of dam at 20 locations already identified at Morni for irrigation purpose. He said that Morni and Raipur Rani had already been declared industrial backward. On the demand of sub division status to Raipur Rani, the Chief Minister said that State government had constituted a committee comprising three ministers which is going to examine such issues in entire state.
He said that a proposal of Rs3.80 crore had already been sent to Central Government for developing Tikkar Taal at Morni. Besides, 35 acres of land had been identified for developing Herbal Hub at Morni. The government would also allow Shivalik Board to construct roads. The government had also framed policy for regularization of illegal colonies and all such colonies would be regularized provided these fulfill norms. In addition, play ground and stadia would be set up in all villages. In the first phase, these would be set up in about 1000 villages. Rs five crore had already been released for development of the area and in case of requirement of more funds, the same would be released, he added.
                State BJP President Mr. Subhash Barala, Member of Parliament Mr. Ratan Lal Kataria, MLAs Mrs, Latika Sharma and Mr. Gian Chand Gupta, senior BJP leader Prof. Ganeshi Lal also addressed the gathering on this occasion.
