Guidelines for centralized online admission

CHANDIGARH, JUNE 1
Haryana Higher Education Department has issued guidelines for centralized online admission in all the Government, Aided and Self Financing Degree (SFS) Colleges for the academic Session 2018-19. The online admissions will begin from June 6 and the last date for applying online will be June 22, 2018 (12pm midnight).
        While giving this information, a spokesman of the department said that from academic session 2018-19, the roll numbers of the students getting admission in first year of under graduate and post graduate course would be ‘Auto generated’ by the system and these roll numbers would remain same for a student for the next three to two years, as the case may be. Roll numbers of only those candidates would be generated who have successfully deposited the fee, he added.
        All candidates would be intimated for all successful steps in the application form through SMS. Common weightage criteria would be applicable for all the affiliated colleges. Admission on the basis of marks in qualifying examination =100 marks + weight age marks. For example if marks obtained in the qualifying exam is 300 out of total 500 and percentage is 60 and weightage is 5 marks then total would be 65.
        The criteria for granting weightages would be 5 marks for under graduate and post graduate course. The maximum weightage admissible for admission in under graduate and post graduate course is 10, in UG and PG courses, 5 marks would be given to sportspersons who have won first or second or third position at the University State Level Tournaments organised by the State government or Haryana Olympic Association or university in individual events or team games or have actually participated in inter-university or national level duly recognized by Association of Indian Universities or concerned National Federation or Indian Olympic Association in the games in which Inter-University Tournaments are organised by AIU. Except for B.P.ED and M.P.ED courses. Candidates claiminh sports weightage must submit gradation certificate issued by the Director Sports of the states concerned or by an authority authorized by the Director of sports of the concerned State indicating grade.
        He said that 5 marks for candidates of PG courses, who have passed Honours examination at the graduation level in the concerned subject, for admission to Master of social work (MSW) course, the candidates who have passed B.A. Social Work subject, for admission to M.A. Fine Arts course, the candidate who have passed BFA degree and for BFA course the students who have passed Class 12 with Fine Arts subject, for M.Sc Mathematics with Computer Science, the candidates who have passed BA/B.Sc.with Computer Science as an elective subject in addition to Mathematics subject, for admission to M.Sc.Biotechnology, who have passed B.SC with Biotechnology as one of the subject, for M.A in Defence and strategic studies,who have passed B.A. with Defence studies or Military Science or Studies as one of the subject, for P.G. Diploma in Translation, the candidates who have passed M.A (English) or (Hindi).
       He said that two provisional lists would be generated for each round and applicants (falling under same list) would be called for document verification, prior to release of Final Merit List. For example, filling up of online admission forms starting from June 6, 2018 till June 22, 2018, provisional list would be generated and published by Directorate of Higher Education and would be provided to colleges within two days. Informing applicants (through SMS) who are falling in provisional lists for document verification within three days. Final Merit would be published after verification process, which would be valid for next three days. Student falling in Final Merit List would pay their Fee within this period.
He said that to ensure the admission cancellation, a self-cancellation provision would be provided to the applicants in their login and they would have to cancel their first admission. A system generated cancellation certificate would be provided to applicant and colleges. Aadhaar number and Bank Account Number should be mandatory for all applicants.
All Principals are requested to check and verify subjects offered by the college along with subject combinations, number of seats in each course, fee structure of each course and class. No prospectus should be printed for students applying in under graduate and post graduate course(s) of all the government aided and self financing degree (SFS) colleges, he added
All admissions of 2 and 3 year of students of Govt. College and 2 year students of Aided and Self financing Colleges should be done through e-Challan only. The e-challans for all the students who are to be promoted to next class can be generated by the college in advance and the validity of these e-challans would be from June 28 - July 12, 2018.  No old student would have to fill up form online for 2018-19. At the headquarters two toll free numbers with four lines would be available from 9 am to 6 pm on all working days.
There would be separate merit list(s) for the budgeted and self financing course(s) in each of the Govt. Aided college even where the same course is operating under different schemes and the fee would be charged by the college as per the prescribed fee structure as submitted to the government by the college principal.
All newly opened Govt. Girls colleges, should update their web portal before starting admission process. Principal of the concerned colleges who have the additional charge of these new colleges may appoint the nodal in-charge for web portal and online admission.

Detailing on the tentative schedule for Centralized online admission 2018-19 for Under Graduate Classes, he said that provisional List Generation for First Round would begin from June 23 - 25, document verification for first round provisional List begin from June 26 - 28, final first merit list generation from June 29 -l 30, and final merit list would be displayed July 1, 2018. Fee depositing for first merit list from July 2 - 4.
Provisional list         generation for second round would begin from July 5-6document verification for second round provisional List  from July7-9, final second merit list generation from July 10-11, and final merit list would be displayed on July 12 and fee depositing for second merit list from July 12 -14, he added.
