Haryana to honour CW medal winners

CHANDIGARH, AUG  6  
 Haryana Sports and Youth Affairs Minister  Anil Vij said that the medal winners of Commonwealth Games and other events would be honoured at district level Independence Day function on August 15.
          He said that there would be no better occasion than this to honour these sportspersons. Directions have been issued to make all necessary arrangements, he added.
          Mr. Vij said that jobs would be provided to about 300 sportspersons under sports quota. For this, names would be forwarded to departments concerned which would finalize the recruitment process. A notification in this regard would soon be issued and advertisement would be released so that each sportsperson could get equal opportunity.
          He said that sportspersons affected during the tenure of former Chief Minister, Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda would also get equal opportunity because jobs and other facilities were given on facial value during the Congress tenure.

173 TEACHERS PROMOTED: The Elementary  Education Department, Haryana, has promoted 173 JBT or C&V  teachers to the rank of TGT English with effect from July 17, 2018.
          Giving details, the Additional Director, Elementary Education Department, Mr Virender Lather, said the department had promoted 173 JBT or C&V teachers, having requisite qualifications as TGT English in HES-II.
          Mr Lather said allotment of station and seniority would be finalized only after the promotion of all eligible candidates in these subjects. Teachers would be promoted as per service rules, their academic qualifications, and combination of subjects. 
VIDHAN SABHA SUMMONED:  Haryana Vidhan Sabha has been summoned to meet in the Hall of Haryana Vidhan Sabha, Vidhan Bhawan, Sector 1, Chandigarh at 2 p.m. on August 17, 2018.
PANEL ON RE-EMPLOYMENT: The Haryana Government has constituted a committee under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary, for re-fixation of criteria of re-employment of Government Employees  after their superannuation. After the approval from this committee matter would not be required to be taken to Council of Ministers Meeting (CMM).
          While giving details, an official spokesperson said that when seeking applications for re-employment, the Administrative Department would be required to prescribe the upper age limit  for re-employment as 63 years so that officials can serve for atleast two years i.e.  till the age of 65 years.
 He said that, the Haryana Services (Government Employees Conduct) Rules 2016 and Haryana Civil Services (Punishment and Appeal) Rules, 2016 would be applicable on such contractual appointments.
