Morale of sportspersons should always remain high: Dushyant

Chandigarh, November 1 

Haryana Deputy Chief Minister Dushyant Chautala has urged the players  to play every sport with high spirits without thinking much about winning or losing the competition. The morale and sportsman spirit  of every player should always remain high, he said.

The State Government is celebrating Haryana Day as Sports Day and the State Government is all geared up to host Khelo India 2021.

The Deputy Chief Minister was addressing the players after formally launching the sports competition organized on the occasion of Haryana Day in Rohtak today.  

The Deputy Chief Minister also administered the oath of 'Rashtriya Ekta' to the players and attendees. Earlier,  the sports department officials honoured the Deputy Chief Minister with a badge and a sports cap.

 In his address, the Chief Guest of the programme, Mr. Dushyant Chautala, while extending the greetings of Haryana Day, said that all the players should work hard to bring laurels to the state and country in international sports. Everyone should contribute wholeheartedly so that the state can achieve new heights in sports.

He said that players of Haryana have such enthusiasm in their blood that they can achieve any new heights with their hard work. The players of the state have brought laurels to the country and the state in international competitions and 33 percent medals have been won by the players of the state in the Olympic Games also, said the Deputy Chief Minister.

The Deputy Chief Minister also called upon the players to work hard to increase this medal winning  percentage.  The State Government has decided that funds will be given to the players for the preparation of sports competitions so that they can get good training.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that many facilities are being provided to the players under the sports policy implemented by the State Government.  The State Government has decided that new coaches will be recruited in the state in the next one year so that players can get good training, he said.

The Deputy Chief Minister said that with the start of competitions like Pro Kabbadi League, players are getting the best facilities.  He said that sports facilities are being provided to the rural area players. Besides this, modern facilities have been made available by setting up Vayamshalas and mini-stadiums at the village level.

He said that the national hockey team consists of players from Shahabad who have brought laurels to the country and the state.Several steps have been taken by the government to provide maximum employment to the players, he said.  

 On this occasion he also said that the first Home Minister Sardar Vallabhbhai Patel made significant contribution through unifying the country by combining small and big princely states together. He also administered the pledge to the attendees to make every possible contribution to maintain unity and integrity of the country and strengthen the nation.

 Welcoming the Deputy Chief Minister, Mayor, Mr. Manmohan Goyal and other attendees, Deputy Commissioner,  Captain Manoj Kumar said that the sports competition has been organized to promote sports on the occasion of Haryana Day.

 On this occasion, Rohtak Mayor, Mr. Manmohan Goyal, Municipal Corporation Commissioner, Mr. Pradeep Godara, Sub Divisional Magistrate, Mr.  Rakesh Kumar Saini, City Magistrate, Mr. Surendra Singh, Deputy Superintendent of Police, Mr. Mahesh Kumar and other dignitaries were present.
