Musical fountains to be installed at Brahmasarovar in Kurukshetra

Tourists and devotees coming from the country and abroad will now see colourful fountains  installed at Brahmasarovar Purushotampura Bagh along with the chanting of Maha Aarti.  

A budget of Rs. 1.45 crore will be spent on this project by the Ministry of Culture and Tourism, Government of India. This project will be completed within a period of one  month.
Sharing more information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that with the budget provided for this project, the work of installing a large LED wall at Brahmasarovar Purushotampura Bagh has been completed. A video clip made for the International Gita Mahotsav is being played on this LED wall.
Soon the work of installing the fountain just in front of the aarti site would also be completed and it is likely that in the next 15 days, colourful fountains will start running near the aarti site, added the spokesperson. 
GOOD GOVERNANCE DAY ON DEC 25: The Good Governance Day programme is scheduled to be organised by the Haryana Government on December 25, 2021, on the occasion of 'Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsav', 10 state level awards will be given to those people who have made significant contribution to ensure Good Governance in the State.
 Giving information in this regard, an official spokesperson said that various important steps have been taken by the State Government in order to ensure Good Governance in the State, in which apart from public representatives, officers, employees and common man have also equally contributed. A committee has been constituted under the chairmanship of the Chief Secretary to facilitate the above said awards, in which apart from the Finance Commissioner, other members including Additional Chief Secretaries are also part of the committee.
The names for the awards will be finalised post the approval of the committee members and the Chief Minister. These awardees will be selected from 36 projects in which three areas will be assessed including infrastructure, economic growth and the key role played by the flagship plan. He said that while the economic sector would be evaluated by Kurukshetra University, the infrastructure would be assessed by IIM Rohtak.
 According to the spokesperson, awards will be given to 10 officers/employees during the State Level Programme to be held in Chandigarh on December 25, 2021.

PETROL AND CNG PUMPS IN KURUKSHETRA JAIL:  The first petrol and CNG pump will be installed in Kurukshetra Jail, if the pilot scheme is successful,  the proposal for setting up of petrol pumps in other jails of the state as well would also be expedited. 

Sharing more information in this regard, Jail Superintendent, Kurukshetra, Sh. Somnath Jagat said that about Rs 3 crore would be spent on this petrol and CNG pump to be set up by Indian Oil Corporation (IOC). For the pump, IOC will also pay a monthly rent of Rs.51000 to the Kurukshetra Jail Administration. He said that the revenue earned from this pump would be spent on the welfare and rehabilitation of the jail inmates.

The Jail Superintendent informed that this project has been started in Kurukshetra Jail as the pilot project is on the lines of Telangana, Punjab, Madhya Pradesh and Maharashtra states.
This will be the first petrol pump in four states adjoining Haryana and would prove to be a pivotal tool in the rehabilitation of the jail inmates, added Sh. Somnath Jagat. 
He further informed that a small general store will also be set up at this pump as per the norms of IOC.  Confectionery as well as other items will be made  available at this general store.
