Haryana Chief Minister interacts with PPP volunteers

CHANDIGARH, JAN 18

Haryana Chief Minister, Sh. Manohar Lal said that the government has implemented ambitious schemes like Parivar Pehchan Patra (PPP) to live up to the expectations of the people so that the eligible persons can get the benefits of the government schemes directly.

The Chief Minister was interacting with the volunteers connected under the Samarpan Portal here today.  He said that so far 1,485 people of the state have registered to work voluntarily on the Samarpan portal. As many as 1,312 men and 173 women have come forward to work voluntarily. These volunteers are mostly comprising of youth. The Chief Minister said that such volunteers deserve congratulations who have given their consent to work voluntarily.  Services of these volunteers will be taken as per their interest in areas like education, vriksha mitra, environment, sports, women and child development.

The Chief Minister said that so far 2.73 crore people from about 67 lakh families of the state have declared their data through PPP.  Volunteers are being engaged to verify the families whose economic and social status has been received in the PPP.  In future, the benefits of government schemes will be available only through PPP.

The Chief Minister said that the local level committees of volunteers would be deployed at the district level, which would be around their work area.  Local level committees will include a government employee, data entry operator, college students, social workers and volunteers.  He said that in the first phase the verification of income will be done, date of birth in the second phase and occupation, education, caste etc. would be done in the third phase.  The PPP will act as a document after verification.

        The Chief Minister said that by working with the spirit of Antyodaya, the standard of living of every person in the society has to be raised.  For this, Antyodaya melas have also been organized at the block level.  In these fairs, work has been done to connect 90,000 families with one or the other vocation.  Thus, the government is taking care of every family so that they can be financially empowered.

The Chief Minister directly interacted with 25 to 30 volunteers and also invited their suggestions.  Principal Secretary, Foreign Cooperation Department, Sh. Yogendra Chaudhary, Additional Principal Secretary to the Chief Minister, Dr. Amit Agrawal, were also present on the occasion.

COMMITTEE TO BE RECONSTITUTED:: The Haryana Government has decided to reconstitute the committee constituted under the chairmanship of Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bhiwani to inquire into the landslide incident at Bhiwani's Dadam on January 1, 2022.

 

Sh. S.S. Prasad, IAS officer (retired) will now be the Chairman of this committee.  Apart from this, Member Secretary, Haryana State Pollution Control Board, Deputy Commissioner, Bhiwani, Additional Deputy Commissioner, Bhiwani, Additional Superintendent of Police, Bhiwani, State Geologist, Mines and Geology Department, Haryana, Sub-Divisional Officer (Civil), Tosham, Divisional Forest Officer, Bhiwani  and the District Mining Officer, Bhiwani will be the members of this committee.

 

It is noteworthy that on January 1, 2022, there was a landslide incident in Bhiwani's Dadam, in which 5 people died and 3 people were injured. To investigate this incident, the Deputy Commissioner of Bhiwani had ordered an inquiry by a committee constituted under the chairmanship of the Additional Deputy Commissioner. The State Government, having taken cognizance of the matter, has now decided to reconstitute the previously formed committee.
