Top seed Donghyun Hwang (KOR) and Kandhavel Mahalingam Akilandeshwari (IND) moved into Pre-Quarterfinals in the Boys singles in the Chandigarh ITF World Tennis Tour Juniors Tournament for Boys and Girls under-18 at Sector 10 Tennis Stadium here today.

. Donghyun Hwang outplayed Jay Lin Gibson (CAN) 6-1, 6-3 in straight sets. Donghyun played high level tennis and dominant throughout the match. 

In the another match Kandhavel Mahalingam Akilandeshwari (IND) played in a top form against Qualifier Dongmin Kim (KOR). Kandhavel  Mahalingam won the first set 7-5, Kandhavel  Mahalingam maintained his rhythm and played high energetic game in the second set, finally Kandhavel  Mahalingam closed the set and match 6-0 without conceding a single game. 

Roman Kharlamov and Ruslan Kastsiukevich also advanced into Pre-Quarterfinals. 5^th seed Roman Kharlamov defeated Qualifier Daniel Tazabekov (KAZ) (Q) 7-6(8), 6-2. Other players who moved into next round are Kuan-Huai Mao (TPE), Liya Maltsev, Hyeon Seok Seo (KOR)  etc.     

In the girls singles fifth seed Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi (IND) entered Pre-Quarterfinals. Maaya Rajeshwaran Revathi played in a top form and closed the 1^st set 6-2, in the second set Maaya was down 1-4, after 1-4 down Maaya came back strongly and took the set and match 7-5.  Third seed Ekaterina Tupitsyna defeated Mahika Khanna (IND) 6-0, 7-6(8). Eva Marie Desvignes (FRA) and Yuka Naito (JPN) also advanced into Pre-Quarterfinals.
