PANCHKULA, AUG 18
Every step of Hallmarkites turns out to be a milestone. Setting new benchmarks in quality and global education is just their way of working.
To sensitize the new generation, the 64th Independence Day, was celebrated in a different way by Hallmark Public School, Sector-15, Panchkula in collaboration with Fun Republic, Manimajra by endorsing ‘Know India Movement’ , in which the fascinating facts about our beloved motherland were floated amongst the common people.
All the colours of life were depicted through various performances. A musical play ‘Are Ruk Ja Re Bande’ left everyone in a thoughtful mood , dreaming about their future India, which is right now gripped in the vicious circle of poverty, hunger, terrorism, corruption, child labour, etc.
Another eye opening performance was ‘Karz Kritagyata Ka’, a mime, which took everyone to the indebted journey of a girl from the cradle to her grave. The show melted even the thick skinned to tears and prompted all present to save the girl child.
Tiny Tots from Class Playway-UKG mesmerized everyone with long forgotten patriotic melodies like, ‘Nanha Munna Rahi Hoon’, ‘Ae Mere Watan Ke Logo’, ‘Aao Bachhon Tumhe Dikhayein, Jhanki Hindustan Ki’ etc.
With theatre artists of Punjab University, few theatre compositions, showcasing Gandhi ji Vs Terrorist, Bhagat Singh Vs Today’s Youth, Neta ji Vs Today’s Leaders were portrayed on various thought provoking themes.
Students of Class V-VII presented their thoughts about Independence Day in the form of speeches on the social issues like child labour, corruption, drug addiction, female foeticide.
A fancy dress on global issues like usage of polybags, deforestation, global warming, etc by the Classes Playway-II left everyone spellbound.
In the end, everybody present there swayed to the melodious tune of the National Anthem with pride in their heart and spark in their eyes.
The Director, Mr. Jivtesh Garg & the Principal, Kavita Wadhwa opine that such activities are susceptible to renew the feeling of patriotism amongst the youth and are required to sensitize the GenNext.
