Two B Ed colleges de-recognised in Haryana

CHANDIGARH, AUG 9
The Executive Council of Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra, which met today in Kurukshetra cancelled the recognition of two B.Ed colleges namely Chaudhary Het Ram Johri Lal Memorial College, Khara-kheri, Fatehabad and Haryana College of B.Ed, Mudhal Road, Sorkhi, Hisar.  Recognition of Chaudhary Het Ram Johri Lal Memorial College was cancelled by National Council of Teacher Education and that of Haryana College of B.Ed for enrolingl more students than the proposed in year 2008-09.
          The meeting was presided over by Vice Chancellor of the university, Lt. Gen. (Retd.) Dr. D.D.S. Sandhu.
The Executive Council also accorded approval for affiliation of four colleges with the University. These colleges included Maharani Laxmi Bai College, village Bhiwani-Rohila, Hisar, Rajiv Gandhi Sanatan Dharam Commerce and Science College, Narwana, Isharjayoz Degree College, Dhanirampura, Pehowa and S.D. Institute of Education for Girls, Ambala Cantt.
         Various recommendations of University Grants Commission and Union Ministry of Human Resource Development approved by Haryana Government were also accepted. Dr. Hari Om Fulia and Mr. Mast Ram Gupta were promoted to the posts of Deputy Registrar and Assistant Registrar respectively.
