Haryana Police to recruit 11,088 police personnels

CHANDIGARH, MAY 18
 Haryana Police will soon recruit 11,088 police personnel including 10,000 male constables, 250 female constables, 600 for Indian Reserve Battalions and 238 Sub Inspectors.
       This was disclosed by Director General of Police Mr. R.S. Dalal while talking to media persons shortly after launching of the website of State Police Complaint Authority by Chief Secretary, Mr P.K.Chaudhary here today.
Mr. Dalal said that major steps have been taken to make the police personnel efficient in handling of cyber crimes. Latest technology has been adopted by the police during last five years.
Also, the police has introduced cyber crime detection technology. Apart from establishing computer labs, advance computer training has been provided to 5000 police personnel. Haryana is the first state in the country where online B-1 test has been made compulsory for promotions. “We wish to provide laptops to the level of inquiry officers and hopefully we can achieve a good progress in next one year in this direction”, he added.
       He said that recently the Chief Minister Mr. Bhupinder Singh Hooda had announced new 100 posts of Deputy Superintendents of Police. This step would further enhance efficiency of the police.
       On being asked to comment on the serious misconduct cases, Mr. Dalal said that it is the duty of the police to safeguard the general public. Modernization of police force is a major step in this direction. He said that death in police custody is   rare   in Haryana Police.
       In reply to a question, Mr. Dalal said that matter of high security number plates related to Transport Department. This step would benefit the police in a big way. It would help in minimizing the theft cases of vehicles and misuse of vehicles by anti-social elements.
       Earlier, on this occasion, Chairman State Police Complaint Authority, Mr. H.S. Rana said that such authorities are functional in seven states in the country. Haryana is the first state where website of police complaint authority had been launched. Complaints about serious
misconduct cases like death in police custody could be sent through email in the website of the authority.
       On this occasion, Additional Principal Secretary to Chief Minister Dr. K.K. Khandelwal, Home Secretary Mr. Samir Mathur and other senior officers of police department were also present.
