Foundation stone of Meham-Kalanaur Road laid by Deepender

CHANDIGARH, JULY 29
Residents of Hisar, Fatehabad and Sirsa can now look forward to a shorter and better road connection to the Millennium City Gurgaon as Congress MP Mr. Deepender Singh Hooda today laid foundation stone of Meham-Kalanaur Road at Meham today. The ten meter broad and 19 kilometer long road link would cost Rs 29 Crore and is likely to be completed in time span of one year.
Mr. Hooda said that this road would not only benefit the people of Meham and Kalanaur but a large part of the state. He said that four-lanning of Hisar-Rohtak road would begin soon. He disclosed that he was trying hard for early start of Hansi-Meham-Rohatk rail line and its foundation stone would soon be got laid by inviting Union Railway Minister. I will not rest till I board the Shatabadi train from Meham for New Delhi, he said amidst thunderous applause from the responding crowd.
Mr. Hooda said that development could not be limited to one region and the people, who talk about regionalism, have narrow approach only. He said that development is a continuous and larger process and the whole state was being developed in a systematic and planned manner. He also criticized the
opposition leaders for their efforts to hamper the state progress and its important projects like Gorakhpur Nuclear Power Plant in district Fatehabad and the Rajeev Gandhi Education City project in district Sonipat.
In a significant political move, the Haryana Janhit Congress also got a shock as Bhisham Dua, the son of senior HJC leader and former Municipal Committee president of Meham Late Anil Dua today announced to join Congress party in presence of Mr. Deepender Hooda and Meham MLA Mr Anand Singh Dangi. Mr. Anil Dua had large following in the area and had died recently in a road accident. Alongwith Bhisham Dua, a former Vice Chairperson of Meham Municipal Committee Mr. Jai Narayan, six former Municipal Committee
members and hundreds of local leaders and workers also joined the Congress party.
Chief Parliamentary Secretary Mr. Vinod Bhayana, MLAs Mr. Anand Singh Dangi and Mrs. Shakuntala Khatak, district Congress president Mr. Jaideep Dhankhar, president of Meham Chaubisi Mr Ram Swaroop, Faridabad Mayor Mr. Ashok Arora, Deputy Commissioner Vikas Gupta and number of senior leaders were also present on the occasion.
