Number of seats in B Sc and B Com increased

The  Haryana Government has decided to increase the number of seats in B.Sc. (Medical and Non Medical) and B.Com streams in all Government Colleges in the state.
            While stating this here today, a spokesman of Higher Education Department said that it has been decided that if application forms for admission to these classes were lying pending, in that case the Principals concerned could admit one additional unit of 80 seats over and above the number of seats allotted earlier.
            He said that admission of one additional unit would be applicable provided that at least 40 additional students take admission in that particular class. There should be availability of sufficient infrastructure like rooms or labs for additional strength. Apart from this, the additional workload would be managed by the existing faculty or by engaging teaching faculty on extension lecture basis.
ADMISSION NOTICE FOR LEFT OUT SEATS: Maharshi Dayanand University, Rohtak (MDU) has issued admission notice for vacant and left-out seats in various courses in University Teaching Departments and Institutes, Indira Gandhi post Graduate Regional Centre, Meerpur (Rewari), and University Institute of Law and Management Studies, Gurgaon for the session 2013-2014.
       While stating this today, a spokesperson of the university said that applications for admission to vacant seats could be submitted by August 16, along with processing fee of Rs. 400. Detail of vacant seats is also available on the University website www.mdurohtak.ac.in . He said that admission counseling for these vacant seats would be held on August 21 at 10 a.m. in the concerned Departments and Institutes. The admitted candidates would have to deposit the requisite fees, and a late fee or Rs. 1000 on the spot, he added. 
        He said that two faculty members of MDU have been declared elected to the Executive Council of the university namely Dr. Munish Garg, Associate Professor, Department of Pharmaceutical Sciences, and Dr. Sumeet Gill, Assistant Professor, Department of Mathematics.
