Bharti Poswal given cash award of Rs 1 lakh

CHANDIGARH, NOV 3
Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker Kanwar Pal Gurjar honoured three-time gold medal winner at national level boxer Bharti Poswal of Bhiwani and gave her an cash award of Rs one lakh on the occasion of 8th foundation day function of Gurjar Samaj Kalyan Parishad at Panchkula.
Speaking on the occasion, Mr Gurjar appreciated the efforts of Gurjar Samaj for the welfare of the society and announced assistance of Rs five lakh for the Parishad. Bharti Poswal was encouraged to give excellent performance in the next Olympics and bring more laurels to the state.
The programme was presided over by Dr Roshan Lal, Vice Chancellor, Manav Bharti University, Solan. Mr Vipul Bainsla of Indian Foreign Service was the chief guest.
As the main speaker, Mr Bainsla threw light on the importance of foreign services and gave tips to the youth for qualifying Indian Civil Services so that maximum youth qualify this exam and serve the society. During the programme, he awarded the meritorious students of class XII and graduation level of this Society with memento and gave a cash amount of Rs 1100 to each.
On the occasion, Dr S. S. Kasana, Sukhpal Singh Panwar, Isam Singh Chauhan, Dr Kalam Singh, Dr Jagdeep Chhokar and Dr Prakam Chand Bhumla were honoured with S. P. Singh award. Similarly, Sardar Amrik Singh, Vij Singh Pathik, Multan Singh, Sardar Patel and Dr C. V. Raman were honoured with lifetime achievement award.
