Haryana Speaker nominates MLAs on different committees

CHANDIGARH, AUG 9
Haryana Vidhan Sabha Speaker, Mr Kanwar Pal today nominated MLAs to serve on six different committees of the House for the remaining period of the year 2016-17.
        He has nominated Mr Assem Goel, MLA as Chairperson to serve on the Committee on Subordinate Legislation for the remaining period of 2016-17 whereas Mr Umesh Aggarwal has been nominated as Chairperson to serve on the Subject Committee on Education, Technical Education, Vocational Education, Medical Education and Health Services.
        He has nominated Mr Bikram Singh Yadav, MLA as Member to serve on the Subject Committee on Food and Supplies and House Committee for the remaining period of 2016-17.
        He has nominated Mr Ghanshyam Saraf, MLA as Member to serve on the Committee on Local Bodies and Panchayati Raj Institutions for the remaining period of 2016-17.
        The two MLAs who have been nominated as members to serve on the Welfare of Scheduled Castes, Scheduled Tribes and Backward Classes Committee include Mr Jai Tirath and Mr Makhan Lal Singla. 
PENSION FOR PERSONS WITH 40% DISABILITY: Haryana Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi said that the social security pension benefit would also be given to persons with 40 per cent disability. The Department is reviewing this proposal and in some schemes, such benefits are being given by Central  and State Governments.
          In a statement issued here today, he said that the Department has already taken an initiative to provide benefit to persons with 60 to 70 per cent disability. He said that it was the priority of the government to provide any kind of help to such persons. The state government is following  the dictum of ‘Sabka Saath-Sabka Vikas’ and ‘Antyodaya’, he added.
e-AUCTIONING OF MINING CONTRACTS: Haryana Government has decided to conduct e-auction for grant of mining contracts of boulder, gravel and sand mining blocks in district Yamunanagar. 
          While giving this information here today, a spokesman of Mines and Geology Department said that a total of five blocks would be auctioned in district Yamunanagar. The blocks to be auctioned   included Karhera, Nagla Rangran, Nagli, Dhanaura   and Galauri.
          He said that the e-auction would commence on August 30, 2016 at 9 a.m.  and the bidding process would close on August 31, 2016 by 12 noon. These blocks would be auctioned for a period ranging from seven to 10 years. The maximum period of 10 years would be for blocks of Nagli and Dhanaura . He said that while the last date of deposition and verification of e-service fee or earnest money and uploading of documents would be August 29, the initial bid security amount would have to be deposited by September 1.
            He said that as per the procedure, the bidders could download the auction notice or documents from the portal https://haryanaeprocurement.gov.in or from the Haryana Government website www.haryana.gov.in or could also be obtained from the office of concerned Mining Officer or   the Office of the Director General, Mines and Geology Haryana, Chandigarh.  He said that the bidders would have to pay earnest money deposit fee and e-service fee of Rs 1,000 online by using the service of secure electronic payment gateway. The procedure for participation in the e-auction has been mentioned in the detailed auction notice, he added.
SERVICES OF DR RAJESH KUMAR TERMINATED: Haryana Government has terminated the services of Dr. Rajesh Kumar Chopra, Veterinary Surgeon, Government Veterinary Hospital, Khatkar in District Jind  as he has been held guilty for the commission of offence punishable under Sections 7 and 13 of Prevention of Corruption Act, with immediate effect. 
        While stating this here today, a spokesman of Animal Husbandry and Dairying Department said that Dr. Rajesh Kumar Chopra was convicted by Court of Additional Sessions Judge, Jind in a corruption case. The court had sentenced him two years rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs 2000 under section 7 of Prevention of Corruption Act and three years rigorous imprisonment with a fine of Rs 2000 under section 13(1) (a) of Prevention of Corruption  Act with the orders that both sentences shall run concurrently. A criminal case under Section 7 and 13 of Prevention of Corruption   Act was registered by State Vigilance Bureau, Hisar against Dr Chopra in   the year 2013, he added.
