Haryana to honour persons with disabilities and elders

CHANDIGARH, FEB 23
The Haryana Government has decided to honour persons with disabilities and the elderly persons for their excellent performance in their respective field in a State Level Award Function to be organised at Yamunanagar on February 26, 2018. The best institutions working for their welfare would also be awarded on this occasion. 
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of Social Justice and Empowerment Department said that Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi would be chief guest in this programme. Mr Balwant Sadora, Mr Ghanshaym Das Arora and Mr Shyam Singh Rana, all MLAs would also grace the occasion.
          He said that under the disabled category, two awards for best disabled employee in government sector or PSUs, carries prize money of Rs 25000 and Rs15000, shield and scroll, would be conferred upon Mr Chander Parkash, Assistant office of Deputy Director, Animal Husbandry and Dairying, Jhajjar and Mr Sonu Verma of Karnal respectively.
          Similarly, best employee award in private sector, carries prize money of Rs 25000, shield and scroll would be conferred upon Mrs Anju Sandhu, a resident of AWHO, Sector-27, Panchkula.
          He said that award under best self employed category would be given to Mr Ram Kumar of village Ahil Sadar, Fatehabad. The award carries a cash prize of Rs25000, shield and scroll.
          Welfare Centre for Persons with Speech and Hearing Impairment, Chandan Nagar, Mehrauli road, Gurugram would be awarded with prize money of Rs50,000 under the category of Best Institution Award. Indian Red Cross Society, Panchkula district branch has bagged award under Barrier-free Environment category. The society would be awarded with prize money of Rs50000.
          Creative award for best male disabled person under adult category would be given to Deepak Sehrawat of Sector-17, Gurugram and Mrs Sonali of Ladwa, Kurukshetra. Each award carries prize money of Rs25000. Under this category, special prize of Rs15,000 would be given to Mohit Sharma of village Ghararsi, Kurukshetra.
          Best creative award under 18 years, carries prize money of Rs15000 each, would be given Eshrat of Punhana and Rohit Kumar of Gurugram.
          Under the award for Elderly persons, he said that two Best Mother Award, carries prize money of Rs30000 and Rs20000, shied and scroll, would be given to Jiwani Devi of Hisar and Mrs Mewa Devi of Fatehabad respectively.
          Under Best Senior Practicing Sports Person Award category, Mrs Bimla Devi of Hisar and Mrs Magan Singh Chauhan of Rewari would be awarded with prize money of Rs50000 each. Mr Shadi Ram, Mr Hari Singh and Mr Subhash would be awarded with prize money of Rs30000, Rs10000 and Rs10000 respectively.
          Best Day Care Centre Award, carries prize money of Rs one lakh and Rs75000, would be conferred upon Senior Citizen Club, Sector-14, Hisar and Janta Kalyan Samiti, Rewari respectively.
          Best Voluntary Organization Award, carries prize money of Rs one lakh and Rs50000, would be given to Indian Red Cross Society, Panchkula and Senior Citizen Forum, Jind respectively.
          Senior Painter Award, carries prize money of Rs50000 and Rs30000, would be given to Mr Sada Ram of Rohtak and Mr Shiv Kumar Batish of Panchkula.
          Lifetime Achievement Award and Best Panchayat Award would be given to Mr B.D. Handam of Panchkula and Gram Panchayat, Kahnaur, Rohtak respectively. These awards carry prize money of Rs50000 and Rs75000.
