Haryana to prepare Integrated Economic Development Plan of Panchkula

CHANDIGARH, FEB 25
Haryana Government has decided to prepare  Integrated Economic Development Plan of Panchkula Region. For this, a consultant is being appointed to prepare the plan.       
          Mr Manohar was addressing a well attended gathering after dedicating three projects costing Rs 83.64 crores in Panchkula near here today.  He said that being adjacent to Chandigarh, Panchkula has a locational advantage. As Panchkula is a gateway to Himachal Pradesh, the State Government wanted to develop it as a logistic hub. Besides, the area has also a huge potential of becoming an education and medicity hub.  AYUSH AIIMS is being constructed in Panchkula at a cost of Rs 500 crore. Tenders of Rs 277 have already been floated for the same.  The process is also underway to connect Panchkula with the Airport for the convenient of people .  
         Earlier, the Chief Minister inaugurated newly built Multipurpose Hall, in Tau Devi Lal Stadium, Sector-3 at a cost of about Rs 32 crore. He also inaugurated 220-220 KV Sub Stations for both Panchkula and Kalka set up at cost of Rs 29.38 Crore and Rs 22.26 Crores respectively.
       The Chief Minister said that during about three-and-a-half year’s tenure of present State Government, he has made 4600 announcements concerning various development works in the State and except 25 to 30 per cent; all such announcements have been completed. The remaining announcements would be completed in this year, he assured. He claimed that this much of announcement had never been made by any previous government during its five years tenure.
        He said that the Multipurpose Hall inaugurated by him today would not only prove to be beneficial for the sportsperson but also provide ample opportunities of employment to the youth. This would be the first-of-its-kind building in North India. The building has a sitting capacity of 4000 people with facility to organize sports events at night time also as a provision of 120 high power lights has been made in this building. Infrastructure facilities for 12 sports discipline have been made available in this building under one roof.
 While describing sports as a medium to channelizing the youth energy, the Chief Minister said that the State Government has strengthened the sports infrastructure in the State. Besides the construction of new sports stadias at district level, 1000 vyayamshalas has been set up at village level in the first phase. He said  the  youth of the State has a special  attraction towards sports and the State Government is working to develop Haryana as a sports hub.
 Earlier, speaking on this occasion Member of Parliament (MP), Mr Ratan Lal Kataria said that perhaps it is the first occasion when any district has got two power sub-stations in a single day.
 MLA Panchkula Mr Gian Chand Gupta said that during the present State Government, development works worth Rs 1000 crore has so far been started in Panchkula assembly constituency.  
  MLA Kalka, Mrs Latika Sharma described today as a historical day and said that with the inauguration of  220 KV Sub Station in Kalka, the long pending demand of the people of the area has been realized. He said that during the present StateGovernment development works worth Rs 600 crore has been undertaken in Kalka Assembly Constituency.
DEVELOPMENT SCHEMES: The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal, today dedicating development schemes worth Rs 90 crore to the people of Bahadurgarh, and said that Bahadurgarh being the Gateway to Haryana, enjoyed special significance in the development plans of the state government. Work on a new bus-stand has already begun and in the next two years, Bahadurgarh would witness big developmental changes, he added.
             Addressing people at a function organised at Dr. Bhim Rao Ambedkar Stadium in Bahadurgarh today, he said, “The development of Bahadurgarh reflects the development of Haryana. As Bahadurgarh is the Gateway to Haryana, it holds a special place in terms of development-oriented schemes. The state government has its focus set on the point that connects the state with the National Capital of New Delhi.”
        Besides infrastructure development of Haryana, the state government has its focus on skilling the youth to make them employable. During the last three years, the state government has worked in a transparent manner by ending class discrimination.
          Referring to the development schemes in Bahadurgarh, Mr Manohar Lal said with a view to ensuring cleanliness of the city foundation stone had been laid for up-gradation and renovation of the West Jua Drain at a cost of about Rs 66 crore. Besides renovation,  road would be constructed on both sides of the drain.
       Work on the railway underpass connecting the Linepass area is under progress and north bypass is also being built. Besides, shifting the auto market, the state government is also working effectively to provide the farmers of this area right compensation.
         Later, interacting with media persons, the Chief Minister said  the budget of the state government for 2018-19 would prove beneficial to the general public. Like the Central Budget, it has also been prepared to benefit each section of the society, he added.
           The Chief Minister inaugurated the newly constructed Dr. Bhimrao Ambedkar Stadium costing Rs 10 crore, and 33 KV Sub-station in Village Parnala (Rs 4 crore). He laid foundation stone of the works to widen and strengthen the Balour-Siddipur-Isherheri Road expected to cost about Rs 7 crore, up-gradation and renovation of West Jua Drain (Rs 66 crore), and construction of community center in Quila Mohalla (Rs 2 crore.).
