Announcement again to set up sports academies

Haryana Chief Minister Bhupinder Singh Hooda today reiterated to set up boxing academy at Bhiwani, cricket academy at Jhajjar, football academy at Gurgoan, kabbadi and wrestling Academies at Rohtak. The State Government is actively considering to
set up a Sports University in the State. These announcements were also made last year.
He also also announced that India Women Hockey Team Captain Surinder Kaur would be appointed as DSP in Haryana Police.
The Chief Minister was addressing the playars on the closing ceremony of state level Panchayat Sports Tournaments organised by Panchayat department Haryana with the coloboration of Sports department at Bhim Stadium at Bhiwani today. About 2000 players included 600 women from all over state participated in the three day sport meet in which 13 events organised .
Mr. Hooda annouced that boxing academy in Bhiwani would start from April next and earlier it would be started in a private building and earlier it would be started in a private building and its building would be constructed in due course of time. He also announced that a synthetic athletic track would be laid in Bhiwani at cost of Rs. 3.50 crore. He said that with a view to promote sports in a bigway in state a new sports policy had been implemented.
With a view to promote rural sports in the state as many as 171 sports stadium were being constructed and out of these 96 had already been completed. The amount to be given in the Olympic games had been doubled and now players would get a sum of Rs. two crore for gold medal and Rs. one crore for silver and Rs. 50 lakh for
bronze medal.
Mr. Hooda revealed that during last five years a sum of Rs. 14.31 crore had been disburshed among the 4377 players of the state as incentives. He said that the amount to be given in the Commonwealth Games had also been increased to Rs. 7 lakh. 5 lakh and 3 lakh respectively for gold, silver and bronze medal.
While presiding over the function Chief Parliamentry Secretary Mr. Dharambir Singh said that the Chief Minister had a positive approach towards the games and this was the only reason that a number of stadium were being set up to groom the talent especially in the rural areas. He urged the Chief Minister that a synthetic athletic track should be set up in Bhiwani as the player had to go to Hisar to get
training. He also announced that next state level panchayat tournament
would be held at jind.
Member of Parliament, Shruti Choudhary urged the Chief Minister that sports kit could be provided at the village level and for this purpose a scheme should be formulated by the state government, so that the players of the state could bought laurels not for the state but for the country also.
The Financial Commissioner and Principal Secrataty Development and Panchayat department Mr. P. Raghvendra Rao and Deputy Commissioner Vikash Gupta also spoke on the occasion.
In the three day state level panchayat tournanments over all champion was adjudged district Bhiwani while district Hisar finished at second and Rohtak got third position. Atheletic men Bhiwani stood first and Hisar second and Rohtak third, women wresling Bhiwani first, Rohtak second and Faridabad got third position.
Wrestling men Bhiwani stood first, Hisar second and Jind got their position while wresling women Bhiwani team was adjudged first Hisar second and Karnal third. Kabbadi men Rohtak first, Hisar second and Faridabad third. Kabbadi women Hisar first, Jhajjar second and Kurukshetra finished at third position.
