HAU to organise training camps for farmers

CHANDIGARH, APRIL 27
With a view to providing latest information about agriculture and home science to farmers and rural women, Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar will  organise training camps in various districts of the State. These training camps would be organised through Krishi Vigyan Kendras of the University.
          While stating this today, a spokesman of the University said that this training programme would be held from May 2 to 23. He said that training regarding commercial vegetable production would be given from May 2 to 4 at Mandkola, training regarding safe grain storage would be given on May 3 and 4 at village Ganga Tehri, Karnal and regarding preparation of vermi compost, training  would be given at village Jhamba on May 10 and 11. He said that the people would be educated about the importance of farm record at village Nissing on May 16 and 17. Also, training would be provided to keep a check on insects in paddy nursery at village Sultanpur on May 23 and 24.
          He said that training regarding plant protection would be given at Kaithal from May 7 to 14, regarding fruit and vegetable preservation from May 8 to 10 at Kurukshetra and from May 9 to 11, training regarding textile manufacturing and seed production of Kharif crops would be given at Faridabad and Ambala respectively.
          He said that training regarding cutting and sewing would be given at Bawal from May 14 to 16, regarding seed production of Kharif crops at Sadalpur on May 15 and 16 and regarding embroidery and dyeing clothes at Rohtak from May 21 to 23.
