Foundation stones of MSMET centres laid

 The Foundation Stones of MSME Technology Centres were laid in well attended ceremonies at Ch. Ranbir Singh Industrial Model Township (IMT) Rohtak and Industrial Growth Centre Saha today i.e. 23rd October 2013. These projects would be located in HSIIDC developed Industrial Areas with state-of-the-art infrastructure facilities.
The Technology Centre at IMT Rohtak and Industrial Growth Centre Saha would be established over an area of nearly 20 acres and 10 acres respectively with investments of more than Rs. 100 crore in each of these projects. The State Government has contributed land free of cost for these projects at Rohtak & Saha.
The foundation stone at Industrial Growth Centre Saha was laid by Sh.  Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Hon’ble Chief Minister; Kumari Selja, Hon’ble Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment and Sh. K. H. Muniyappa, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (IC) for Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Sh Randeep Singh Surjewala, Hon’ble Industries & Commerce Minister; Sh. Phool Chand Mullana, Hon’ble Deputy Chairman, 20 Point Programme; Sh. Rajpal, Hon’ble MLA, Sadhaura; Sh. Amarendra Sinha, Addl. Secretary (MSME); Sh. Y. S. Malik, Principal Secretary-Industries; Sh. S.S. Dhillon, PSCM and Chairman-HSIIDC and Sh. Tarun Bajaj, Managing Director-HSIIDC.

Muniyappa, Hon’ble Union Minister of State (IC) for Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises. Other dignitaries present on the occasion included Sh. Randeep Singh Surjewala, Hon’ble Industries & Commerce Minister; Sh. Shadi Lal Batra, Hon’ble Member of Parliament (Rajya Sabha); Smt. Shakuntla Khatak, Hon’ble MLA, Kalanaur; Sh. Anand Singh Dangi, Hon’ble MLA, Meham; Sh. B.B. Batra, Hon’ble MLA, Rohtak; Sh. Amarendra Sinha, Addl. Secretary (MSME) and Sh. Y. S. Malik, Principal Secretary-Industries.
Sh. Bhupinder Singh Hooda, Hon’ble Chief Minister thanked Sh K. H. Muniyappa for agreeing to set up two Technology Centres in the State, which would cater to the requirements of MSMEs in northern and southern parts of the state.
He informed that these projects would also generate huge employment opportunities for the youth. One Technology Centre is expected to train about 10,000 trainees every year through various long-term and short-term training programmes in the area of precision tooling and assist around 1,000 MSMEs by way of design & development of sophisticated moulds, dies, tools and equipment as well as consultancy services in the related fields. Its primary focus is on improving access to advanced technologies & providing technical advisory support for entrepreneurs and workers, and offering opportunities for technical skill development to the youth at varying levels ranging from School Drop-outs to Graduate Engineers.
The facility at IMT Rohtak would cater to the technology and the training related needs of entire industrial belt of southern Haryana including Rohtak, Bahadurgarh, Gurgaon-Manesar-Bawal, Rai-Kundli-Sonepat and Faridabad; and the Technology Centre at Saha would cater to the requirements of industry of the entire northern region including the districts of Ambala, Yamunanagar, Panchkula, Kurukshetra, Kaithal, and Karnal.
Kumari Selja, Hon’ble Union Minister for Social Justice & Empowerment; thanked the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Govt. of India and the State Government for establishing Technology Centre at Saha in Amabla District.
Speaking on the occasion Sh K. H. Muniyappa thanked the State Government for providing land free of cost to the Ministry for setting up of the two Technology Centres and informed that the Ministry of Micro, Small and Medium Enterprises, Government of India has established 18 Technology Centres across the country. He mentioned that these two Technology Centres, to be set-up in different regions of the State, would cater to the requirements of development of skills, generation of employment opportunities for the people of Haryana and provide cutting-edge technology to the industry.
