CHANDIGARH, NOV 21
The Chandigarh Transport Undertaking (CTU) has introduced integrated transport services in the areas falling under tricity (Chandigarh, Mohali, Panchkula, Mansa Devi, Mullanpur, Zirakpur and Saketri) for which bus passes to the Government employees and other categories on ‘Anytime Anywhere basis’ are being issued.
While giving this information today, an official spokesman said that the government employees of any Central or State Government and their bodies working in tricity region can avail this facility against the payment of Rs 250 per month. It can also be availed by employees working on contract or outsourced basis with any State Government and its bodies. He said that E-Sampark centres in Chandigarh have been authorized to issue the bus passes.
The spokesman said that other details can be accessed at the CTU website www.chdctu.gov.in.

WORKSHOP FOR AGRICULTURE OFFICERS: Vice Chancellor Chaudhary Charan Singh Haryana Agricultural University, Hisar Dr. K.S. Khokhar today inaugurated a two-day state level workshop of agriculture officers at Hisar.
While stating this today, a spokesman of University said that agriculture scientists have been asked to develop ‘Terminal Heat’ resistant variety of wheat and ‘Yellow Vein Disease’ resistant variety of Moong. He said that seeds and manures would be timely made available to farmers so as to achieve production target. Special attention would be paid on the areas where agro-yield had remained low during last year.
It was informed in the workshop that University had approved advanced varieties of seed such as WH-1124 of wheat, HFP-715 of peas and RH-0406 of Raya.
RELIEF FUND: The officers and staff of Haryana Vidhan Sabha Secretariat has decided to contribute their one day salary to Chief Minister Haryana Relief Fund for helping the flood affected people of Jammu and Kashmir.
