Corpus Fund to pay salary to contractual employees

CHANDIGARH, MARCH 6
The Haryana Finance Minister, Capt. Abhimanyu today announced the constitution of a Corpus Fund of Rs 150 crore to ensure timely disbursement of salaries to the contractual employees engaged under various central government sponsored projects running in the state.
The Finance Minister made this announcement during the second day of ongoing Budget Session of Haryana Vidhan Sabha here today.
He said that the decision to constitute this Corpus Fund has been taken as sometimes there is a delay in getting the central share under various centrally sponsored projects.
He said that the corpus fund would be created on the pattern of Rs 100 crore fund already set up to negate the delay in getting central share under Mahatma Gandhi National Rural Employment Guarantee Scheme (MGNREGA).
He said that the Integrated Child Development Services (ICDS) schemes are implemented with Centre-State partnership of 90:10 but now it would be in the ratio of 60:40.
He regretted that the present government has to bear the brunt of various irregularities committed in the recruitment of anganwadi workers in the tenure of previous government.
