Application invited for post of Director of PGIMS Rohtak

CHANDIGARH, NOV 8
Haryana Medical Education and Research Department has invited applications to fill up the post of Director, Post Graduate Institute of Medical Sciences, Rohtak latest by November 14, 2018 up to 5 pm.
While giving this information, a spokesman of the department said that the applicant should have a basic recognized medical qualification included in the schedule to the Indian Medical Council Act, 1956 (102 of 1956). The applicant should have MD/MS/DM/ MCh or equivalent qualification recognized by the Medical Council of India in any specialty. The applicant should have minimum 20 years teaching experience, out of which five years should be as Senior Professor or on an equivalent post in Medical College or Institution recognized by Medical Council of India. He should have preferably attained National or International status in the field of teaching or research or professional competence.
        The applicant should not be below the age of 50 years and should not hold office on attaining the age of 65 years. The post of Director would be a tenure post for three years. For more details candidates could visit the website of college www.pgimsrohtak.nic.in, he added.

 IAS OFFICER TRANSFERRED: The Haryana Government has issued transfer and posting orders of two IAS officers with immediate effect.
        Amit Kumar Agrawal, Excise & Taxation Commissioner, and Special Secretary, Excise & Taxation Department, Director, Elementary Education and Special Secretary, School Education Department and Nodal Officer, International Gita Mahotsav, 2018 has been posted as Excise and Taxation Commissioner and Special Secretary, Excise & Taxation Department. He would also be the Nodal officer of International Gita Mahotsav,2018.
        Ajit Balaji Joshi, awaiting orders of posting, has been posted as Director-cum-Special Secretary Agriculture and Farmers Welfare department and Managing Director, Haryana Seeds Development Corporation vice Dusmanta Kumar Behera.
HOLIDAY ON DECEMBER: In view of the General Election to Legislative Assembly of Rajasthan for which poll would be held on December 7, 2018, the Haryana Government has fixed December 7 (Friday) to be a close day (holiday) for all shops and commercial establishments falling within the jurisdiction area of the state of Haryana only for their employees who are enrolled as voters in the state of Rajasthan to enable them to exercise their franchise.
        While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that a notification in this regard has been issued by the Labour Department.
VACHHER BEREAVED:  Haryana Director General of Police, Mr B.S. Sandhu has expressed grief over the sad demise of former DG, Mr R.K. Vachher, a retired IPS officer, who breathed his last here today.
          In a condolence message issued here today, Mr Sandhu conveyed his heartfelt condolences to the members of the bereaved family and prayed that the departed soul might rest in peace.
          Haryana IPS Officers Association also condoled the demise of Mr Vachher and prayed to the Almighty to give strength to his family members to bear this irreparable loss.
          Appointed as DSP in year 1974, Mr Vachher was promoted in the rank of IPS in 1984. His last rites will be performed at Cremation Ground, Sector-25, Chandigarh on November 9 at 1 pm.

CM PERFORMS MAHALAXMI POOJA: The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal performed puja of Goddess Mahalakshmi on the auspicious occasion of Deepawali at Panchkula today.
He prayed for the happiness of the people and also for all-round progress and prosperity of the state.
