Haryana CM calls on Mauritius Prime Minister

Chandigarh, Feb 14 
The Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, made a courtesy call on the Prime Minister of Mauritius, Mr. P. K Jugnauth, at Port Louis in Mauritius today and  discussed the possibilities of cooperation in different areas between Mauritius and Haryana.
He thanked the Prime Minister for organizing Gita Mahotsav in Mauritius and expressed the confidence that such events would be organized in future as well.
The Chief Minister told Mr Jugnauth that besides the cultural sector, Haryana and Mauritius can jointly move forward in such areas as tourism, sugar industry, food processing, textile, electronics and information technology. In sugar industry, Mauritius has state-of-the-art technology which can be used in Haryana.
The Prime Minister said there is a great scope for education of students in Mauritius and the educational institutions of India can come forward with offers of cooperation. This will also facilitate search for prospects of mutual cooperation.
On this occasion, Director General, Information, Public Relations and Languages Department, Mr. Sameer Pal Srow, Secretary, Haryana Governor, Mr. Vijay Singh Dahiya, and other officers were also present.
Earlier, Minister of Culture and Art, Mauritius, Mr. Prithvirajsing Roopun, and High Commissioner of India, Mr. Tanmaya Lal, welcomed Mr. Manohar Lal at Sir Seewoosagur Ramgoolam International Airport.
