Haryana cooperative sugar mills produce 15.68 lakh quintals of sugar

CHANDIGARH, FEB 5 
The cooperative sugar mills in Haryana have so far produced over 15.68 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 169.32 lakh quintals of sugarcane during the current crushing season.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of Haryana State Federation of Cooperative Sugar Mills said that the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Shahabad has produced a maximum of over 3.01 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 31.32 lakh quintals of sugarcane. Cooperative Sugar Mill, Rohtak has produced over 2.30 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 26.02 lakh quintals of sugarcane, followed by Cooperative Sugar Mill, Kaithal which has produced over 1.81 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 19.18 lakh quintals of sugarcane and Cooperative Sugar Mill, Karnal, has produced over 1.58 quintals of sugar by crushing 16.75 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
          Similarly, the Cooperative Sugar Mill, Meham has produced 1.47 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 17.30 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Gohana has produced  1.32 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 14.77 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Jind has produced  1.29 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 13.61 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill, Palwal has produced over 1.13 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 11.86 lakh quintals of sugarcane, Cooperative Sugar Mill,  Panipat has produced over 1.07 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 11.26 lakh quintals of sugarcane, and Cooperative Sugar Mill Sonipat has produced 65,250 quintals of sugar by crushing 7.25 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
          Apart from this, HAFED Sugar Mill, Assandh has produced over 1.73 lakh quintals of sugar by crushing 19.31 lakh quintals of sugarcane.
           He said that so far, the average rate of sugar recovery by the cooperative sugar mills has been registered as 9.58 per cent.
 REVISION OF PENSION:The Haryana Government has decided to revise the pension of teaching and non-teaching employees of privately managed government aided schools as per the 7th Central Pay Commission (CPC).
          While stating this today, Finance Minister Capt. Abhimanyu said that Chief Minister, Mr Manohar Lal has approved a proposal in this regard.
          Capt. Abhimanyu said that the Finance Department has already given its nod for revision of pay scale as per the 7th CPC of the teaching and non-teaching employees of aided schools. Now, the pension of these employees would also be revised as per the 7th CPC on the basis of revision of State Government for its employees.
          He said that this decision would create financial liability of about Rs 47.12 crore on account of arrears from January 1, 2016 to November 30, 2018.
BHISHMA KA ANTARDWAND: Haryana Urban Local Bodies Minister, Mrs. Kavita Jain released the poem collection 'Bhishma Ka Antardwand' written by Major Yogesh Dahiya, here today.
Mrs. Jain said that the poet has beautifully presented the inner-conflict in the mind of ‘Bhishma Pita’ during the Mahabharata, in his poems for which he deserves congratulations. She said that the style of the book is very rhythmic. Apart from this, the language of the book is very good, which keeps the reader bound.
Appreciating Dahiya's writing, Mrs. Jain said that Major Yogesh Dahiya is a retired officer from the Indian Army and through this poem-collection, he has paid tribute to such invincible and undefeated warrior. She said that a live depiction of the Mahabharata war and the mood of the Mahabharata characters have been presented in the book.
