Government constitutes Civil Service Board

CHANDIGARH, FEB 18
The  Haryana Government has constituted a Civil Service Board under the chairmanship of Chief Secretary to advice the State Government on all service matters, especially on transfers and posting of officers of Indian Police Services (IPS) and ensure their minimum tenure on cadre posts and ex-cadre posts as prescribed in the All India Police Service (Cadre) Amendment Rules 2014.
 While stating this here today, an official spokesman said that the members of the Board would be senior most Additional Chief Secretary or Chairman, Board of Revenue or Financial Commissioner or an officer of equivalent rank and status, Additional Chief Secretary, Home, Secretary Home and Director General of Police. The Principal Secretary or Secretary, Personnel will act as Member Secretary.
He said that the State Government has prescribed a period of two years minimum tenure on the ex-cadres post for the IPS officers except in the event of promotion, retirement, deputation outside the State or training exceeding two months.
