Restriction on movement of heavy vehicles from Mallah Junction

CHANDIGARH, FEB 8
 In view of a large number of accidents and frequent traffic jams due to heavy rush of traffic on the road passing through the markets of Pinjore and Kalka, it has been decided by District Administration, Panchkula, that entry of heavy vehicles on the road stretch from Mallah Junction to Kalka/ Parwanoo tax barrier on Pinjore-Parwanoo road and from T-point near PS Pinjore to T-point Charnia on Nalagarh road, should be restricted during the following hours:-
(i)                 7-30 AM to 10-30 AM in the Morning.
(ii)               1-00 PM to 3-00 PM in the afternoon.
(iii)             5-00 PM to 8-00 PM in the evening.  
After declaration of the above road stretch as “No Entry” zone for heavy vehicles,
no heavy vehicle would be allowed entry to Pinjore/Kalka markets from the following points:-
(i)                 Mallah Junction on NH-5.
(ii)               T-Point Charnia on NH-21A.
(iii)             Parwanoo/Kalka border.
The above said road stretch has been declared as “No Parking” zone and
therefore,  parking of any vehicle on this road stretch would not be allowed. The truck/canter unions of Panchkula, Nalagarh/Baddi, Parwanoo, Mohali, Dera Bassi, Chandigarh, Solan and Shimla have been informed and requested to inform all members of their unions as well as all drivers of the trucks/canters about the above said restrictions. Any truck/canter found plying /parked in the restricted area during prohibited hours, shall  be challaned under the relevant sections of MV Act. The above said restrictions shall be effectives w.e.f. 10-02-2014 morning.
