Haryana will soon fill up 50,000 posts

CHANDIGARH, JULY 1
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal today announced that as many as 50,000 posts would soon be filled up to ensure smooth functioning of various government departments.
Mr. Manohar Lal, who was addressing a press conference here today, said that requisition for 24,219 posts had already been sent to the recruitment agencies. The previous government had made appointments on ad hoc basis and consequently large numbers of posts are lying vacant, he added.
The Chief Minister said that 12,620 posts have so far been advertised out of this 8,793 vacancies are of Education department. Similarly, advertisement for filling up 7,200 posts in Police Department would also be issued soon. In addition to this, about 15,000 post of group D would also be filled up districtwise.
He said that Haryana Public Service Commission has also made preparations to fill up vacant post of class I and II. Recruitment on all these post would be made purely on merit basis. He said that the state government has fixed new criteria for recruitment as per which interview will carry only 12 per cent marks to remove scope of discretion and to ensure only meritorious candidates are selected. Five years age relaxation has also been given to experienced teachers. The teachers would also be given maximum eight marks for their work experience. In the second phase, 6000 police personnel would also be recruited, he added.
The Chief Minister said that State Government would soon roll out its new industrial policy for year 2015 which would focus on micro, small and medium enterprises. This would not only ensure development of the state but also generate ample employment opportunities for the youth.
