CBI to probe mMurder of two children in Faridabad

CHANDIGARH, OCT 21
 Haryana Chief Minister, Mr. Manohar Lal, has decided to get a CBI enquiry conducted into the murder of two children in Faridabad on the intervening night of October 19 and 20, 2015.  He also announced that a government job would be provided to the father of the children, Mr. Jitender, and free treatment to the injured mother recuperating in Safdarjung Hospital.
            The Chief Minister has also ordered that the Police should immediately arrest the remaining criminals involved in the dastardly crime.
A government spokesman said that eight Police personnel have been placed under suspension for showing grave misconduct in discharging their duties and regular departmental enquiry has been initiated against them. Those who have been suspended included Sadar Ballabhgarh SHO Inspector Anil Kumar, ASI Wali Mohd., Ct. Vikash, Ct. Sandeep, E/ASI Hari Singh, ESI Shri Bhagwan, Ct. Satish and Ct. Ram Mehar.
In the tragic incident, two children of a family were killed and their parents sustained injuries when some criminals set fire to the door of the house of Mr. Jitender in village Sun Perh, Sadar Ballabhgarh, district Faridabad, and threw some inflammable material inside a room. The family was sleeping inside a room in the house. While Mr. Jitender and his wife, Mrs. Rekha, sustained injuries, their two-and-a-half-year old son Vaibhav and nine-month-old daughter Divya were killed.
A case was registered under Sections 148, 149, 452, 307, 302, 436 and 34 of the Indian Penal Code and Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Act against 11 accused, namely Balwant, Jagat, Edal, Naunihal, Joginder, Sooraj, Akash, Aman, Sanjay, Dharam Singh and Desh Raj.
Four of the accused, namely Balwant, Dharam Singh, Kartar and Sanjay have been arrested after preliminary investigation and would be produced before the court. Forensic teams from Faridabad and Madhuban have collected physical clues, which are being examined.
The incident has its history in a murder which occurred on October 5, 2014, in which the victim family was allegedly involved in murdering three persons of the accused family. A case had been registered  under Sections 148, 149, 323, 324 and 302 of the Indian Penal Code at Police Station Sadar Ballabgarh in this regard on October 6, 2014. After investigation, Police had arrested Jagmal, Ved Parkash, Sunit, Satender and Madan on October 6, 2014. Lajjawati was arrested on October 7, 2014, Dalbir on October 10, 2014, Kallu on November 13, 2014, Lakhan and Bansi Lal on November 28, 2014 and Santosh on November 29, 2014. The chargesheet was prepared on December 29, 2014 and submitted in the court on January 3, 2015. The trial is underway and both the accused women have been granted bail.
