Haryana Govt releases another DA installment

CHANDIGARH, OCT 15
The Haryana Government today released another installment of Dearness Allowance (DA) to the State Government employees with effect from July 1, 2015.
          While stating this here today, the Finance Minister, Captain Abhimanyu said that now the employees would get DA at the rate of 119 per cent of their basic pay thus registering an increase of six per cent in the dearness allowance. At present they are getting 113 per cent. The arrears of the hiked DA of six per cent from July 1, 2015 would be given in cash.
          He said that the State exchequer would have to bear an additional burden of over Rs. 314.39 crore annually.
ONE IAS OFFICER TRANSFERRED:  Haryana Government has issued transfer and posting orders of an IAS officer with immediate effect.
        Ms. Sangeeta Tetarwal, Assistant Commissioner (Under Training), Ambala has been posted as Joint Secretary, Information and Public Relations, Cultural Affairs and Languages and Grievances Departments against vacant posts.
DRAFT ELECTORAL ROLLS:  The office of Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, today published the draft electoral rolls according to which the total number of voters in the State is 1,66,96,067, of which 89,79,784 are men and 77,16,283 are women voters.
        While stating this here today, Chief Electoral Officer, Haryana, Mr. Shrikant Walgad said that as per the directions of the Election Commission of India, special summary revision of electoral rolls of all the 90 Assembly constituencies in Haryana was being done with reference to January 1, 2016 as the qualifying date.
        He said that in order to facilitate people, the draft electoral rolls have been made available with all Booth Level Officers (BLOs) where people could check the rolls and ensure that voters’ lists are accurate and names of ineligible voters’ have been removed. If name of any eligible voter has not been included in the draft list then they could contact the concerned BLO from October 25 to November 8, 2015 with required form duly filled in all respect. On these days, Booth Level Officers (BLOs) would be available on their respective booths.
        Mr. Walgad said that reading of relevant part or section of Photo Electoral Rolls in Gram Sabha or Local Bodies and RWA meeting etc and verification of names would be done on October 20 and 28, 2015. Special campaign dates for receiving claims and objections would be October 25 and November 8, 2015. Disposal of claims and objections would take place by December 7, 2015 whereas updation of database would be done by December 24, 2015. Final publication of electoral rolls would take place on January 11, 2016.
