Wages of HDDCFL contractual employees to be hiked

 
CHANDIGARH, OCT 31
 Bringing Diwali cheer to the contractual employees of Haryana Dairy Development Cooperative Federation Limited, Haryana Minister of State for Cooperation, Mr. Bikram Singh Yadav, has announced that their current wages would now be almost doubled.
          While giving this information here today, Mr. Yadav said that the Federation has earned profit of about Rs 28.98 crore, which is the highest in the country till date. Contractual workers employed in the Dairy Chilling Plants of this Federation get remuneration of Rs 5,000 to Rs 6,000. Now, these employees would be paid wages according to DC rate, which would be almost double of their current wages.
Keeping in view the interests of the employees, the Cooperation Minister also announced a hike in the sum given as ‘kanyadaan’ on the marriage of daughters of milk producers. Apart from this, a scholarship scheme has also been launched for the children of milk pourers and members of milk producers’ societies. One time grant of Rs 2,100 and Rs 5,100 would be given to such children who obtain a score of 80 per cent or more in Class 10 and 10 plus two examinations, respectively.
