300 Central and State schemes for welfare of poor

CHANDIGARH, MARCH 5  
Haryana Chief Minister Manohar Lal said that during the last four years, the State Government has worked for the prosperity of the people belonging to all sections of the society including poor and labourers by ensuring them the benefit of various schemes and programmes online.
          The Chief Minister said this while addressing the workers of unorganized sector, at the state level function of Pradhan Mantri Shram Yogi Maan-dhan Yojna (PM-SYM) (launched nationwide by the Prime Minister, Mr Narendra Modi from Vastral, Gujarat) in Panchkula today.
          On this occasion, the Chief Minister also awarded Registration Letter and incentive money of Rs 5100 each to the first ten workers registered under the PM-SYM scheme. He also awarded certificate of appreciation to the Village Level Entrepreneurs (VLEs) of Common Service Centre (CSC) Raipur Rani and CSC Buriya, Yamuna Nagar for their outstanding work in the registration process under PM-SYM scheme.
         He said that over 300 Central and State Government schemes are being run for the welfare for the poor. The State Government has established Antyodaya Saral Kendras and Atal Seva Kendras at the village level so as to make available schemes of various departments under one roof.
          The Chief Minister also announced that the premium amount of Rs 55 to Rs 200 per month under the PM-SYM scheme would be  borne by the State Government from June 2019. Besides, he also announced that amount of premium under Pradhan Mantri Jeevan Jyoti Bima Yojana, Pradhan Mantri Suraksha Bima Yojana would to be borne by the State Government in future.
          The Chief Minister said that unique identity card of each family is being prepared in the State to ensure that the eligible families get the benefit of various schemes in a transparent manner. He said to avail the benefit under the Mukhya Mantri Parivar Samridhi Yojana; the family has to nominate one of the family members. He said that it is matter of pride that Haryana is at number one position in the country in implementing Central Government schemes and also  a leading state in registrations under PM-SYM scheme which was launched by the Prime Minister today.
                     He said that besides workers, schemes have also been started for the farmers, under which small and marginal farmers with land holding of up to 5 acres would be given financial assistance of Rs. 500 per month or Rs. 6,000  per annum in three installments of Rs. 2000 each by the Central Government. On the same lines, the state government has also decided to provide annual financial assistance of Rs 6000 to the small and marginal farmers of the State. For this, the State Government has made a provision of Rs.1500 crore in the budget, he added.
          He said that today the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi  has launched PM-SYM scheme nationwide under which workers of unorganized sector including home based workers, street vendors, mid-day meal workers, head loaders, brick kiln workers, cobblers, rag pickers, domestic workers, washer men, rickshaw pullers, landless labourers, own account workers, agricultural workers, construction workers, beedi workers, handloom workers, leather workers, audio-visual workers and similar other occupations, between the age group of 18 and 40 years would be benefited with minimum pension of Rs 3,000 per month after attaining the age of 60 years.  He said that under Ayushman Bharat Yojana around 15.50 lakh people have been registered in Haryana, under which medical treatment up to Rs. 5 lakh is provided in the empanelled Government or private hospitals.
          While describing today as a historical day, the Chief Minister said that Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi has taken several initiatives to make the workers more prosperous..
          Speaking on this occasion, Minister of State for Labour and Employment, Mr Nayab Singh Saini said that it is a matter of pride that the Prime Minister Mr Narendra Modi today dedicated the PM-SYM scheme to the workers of the country. The Chief Minister is working with the mantra of Antyodaya to ensure that the benefit of various government schemes and programme reach to the last person standing in the queue.
           Among those present on this occasion include Finance Minister, Capt Abhimanyu, Transport Minister, Mr Krishan Lal Panwar,  Minister of State for Social Justice and Empowerment, Mr Krishan Kumar Bedi, MLA Panchkula, Mr Gian Chand Gupta and MLA Kalka, Mrs Latika Sharma and other senior officers of the labour department and district administration, Panchkula.
