Delhi beat Himachal 2-0 in Sub Junior Men National Hockey

  


Results: Hockey Arunachal beat Hockey Bihar 1-0; Delhi Hockey beat Hockey Himachal 2-0;            Manipur Hockey beat Le Puducherry Hockey 9-0; Hockey Maharashtra beat Hockey Gujarat 16-1; Chhattisgarh Hockey drew with Hockey Uttarakhand 0-0 and Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu beat Kerala Hockey 7-0.

Hockey Arunachal, Delhi Hockey, Manipur Hockey, Hockey Maharashtra and Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu registered wins on day four of the 11th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship 2021 here  Haryana today.
In the first match of the day, Hockey Arunachal edged out Hockey Bihar by a narrow 1-0 margin. Rahul (45+’) scored the only goal of the Pool G encounter.
In another Pool G match, Delhi Hockey beat Hockey Himachal 2-0 with Nitin (3’, 39’) scoring both goals.
In Pool H, Manipur Hockey cruised to a 9-0 win against Le Puducherry Hockey. Sushanta Singh Moirangthem (24’, 28’, 36’, 43’) scored four goals, taking his tally to ten goals in the 11th Hockey India Sub Junior Men National Championship 2021. Rohit Singh Ningthoujam (19'),  Sanson Singh Sorokhaibam (41’), Yumnam Rishi (44’), Dilip Konthoujam (50’) and Bikram Singh Konthoujam (55’) scored one goal each.
Hockey Maharashtra registered a comprehensive 16-1 win against Hockey Gujarat in a Pool H clash. Captain Raju Tushar Durga (48’, 52’, 53’) scored a quick-fire hat-trick. Santosh Arjun Hargude (40’, 54’), Pradeep Reddy (11’, 46’), Jay Kale (33’, 40’), Aakshay Jadhav (29’, 47’) and Deepank Chavan (4’, 5’) bagged a pair of goals each. Nilesh Vansh Shah (17’), Ameya Yadav (18’), Rajesh Raj Pawar (2’) scored one goal each. Jayantilal Dhaval Gelot (25’) earned a consolation goal for Hockey Gujarat.
In Pool A, Chhattisgarh Hockey played out a goalless draw with Hockey Uttarakhand. In the final match of the day, Hockey Unit of Tamil Nadu beat Kerala Hockey by a commanding 7-0 margin in Pool C. B Priyan (14’, 29’, 40’) scored a fine hat-trick. A Praveen (49’, 56’) scored two goals whereas Captain M Srinivasan (37’) and T Manisankar (22’) scored one goal each.
The pool match between Assam Hockey and Hockey Madhya Pradesh was forfeited.
