Open Army Recruitment Rally in Haryana from May 5 to 14

The Indian Army Recruiting Office, Ambala Cantt. will hold an open recruitment rally to recruit Soldier General Duty, Soldier Clerk, Store Keeper and Havildar Education from May 5 to 14, at Police Lines, Ambala City.
While stating this here today, a spokesman of Army said that on May 5, the recruitment for the post of Soldier General Duty would be conducted only for sons of servicemen, ex-serviceman, widows and war widows or certificate holders of NCC and sports hailing from districts of Ambala, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Kaithal, Panchkula and Chandigarh.
He said that on May 6, the recruitment for the post of Soldier General Duty would be conducted for the candidates except Sikh and Sikh Mazhbi and Ramdasia hailing from district Ambala, Panchkula and Chandigarh. Similarly on May 7, the recruitment for the post of Soldier General Duty would be carried out for the candidates except Sikh and Sikh Mazhbi and Ramdasia hailing from district Karnal and Kurukshetra and on May 8, the recruitment for the same post would be carried out for the candidates except Sikh and Sikh Mazhbi and Ramdasia hailing from district Yamunanagar and Kaithal.
He said that on May 9, the recruitment for the post of Soldier General Duty would be conducted for only Sikh and Sikh Mazhbi and Ramdasia candidates hailing from district Ambala, Karnal, Kurukshetra, Yamunanagar, Kaithal, Panchkula and Chandigarh.
He said that on May 10, the recruitment for the post of Soldier Clerk and Store Keeper would be carried out for candidates belonging to all categories hailing from district Ambala, Karnal, Panchkula and Chandigarh and on May 11, the recruitment for the same posts would be held for candidates belonging to all categories hailing from district Yamunanagar, Kurukshetra and Kaithal. He said that the recruitment for the post of Havildar Education would be held on May 12.
He said that the age of candidates applying for the Soldier General Duty category should be between 17-and-a-half years to 21 years and candidates should have passed matric examination with minimum 45 per cent marks and 32 per cent marks in each subject except additional subject or should have passed 10+2 examination. For Soldier Clerk category age limit should be in between 17-and-a-half years to 23 years and candidates should have passed 10+2 or intermediate in any stream with 50 per cent marks in aggregate and 40 per cent marks in each subject with English and Mathematics or Accountancy or Book Keeping as compulsory in matric or 10+2 examination. He said that the recruitment in the Army is conducted purely on the basis of merit and he cautioned the aspirants and their parents not to fall prey to touts and do not waste their hard earned money.
