Applications invited for vacant seats in various courses in KU

Kurukshetra University, Kurukshetra has invited applications  to  fill up vacant seats  in various courses of  B. Tech. first  year and LEET second year during the session 2010-11.
While stating this today, a spokesman of the university said that the seats for courses included B. Tech. (ECE, CSE, ME and Bio-Tech) were laying vacant in University Institute of Engineering and Technology (UIET), B. Tech (Instrumentation) in Institute of Instrumentation Engineering and B. Tech (Printing, Graphics and Packaging) were vacant in Institute of Mass Communication and Media Technology.
He said that candidates desirous of seeking admission might apply on prescribed application form available on university’s website: http://www.kuk.ac.in alongwith demand draft of Rs.500 in favour of Director, UIET for B. Tech. (ECE, CSE, ME and Bio-Tech) and Registrar, KUK for B. Tech (Instrumentation) and B. Tech (Printing, Graphics and Packaging) and submit the same in the office of the concerned Institute. Vacant seats would be filled up first on the basis of All India Engineering Entrance Examination ( AIEEE) rank and remaining seats up on the basis of merit of qualifying examination, he added.
          He said that vacant seats in B. Tech. (Bio-Technology) would be filled up first on the basis of qualifying examination having Physics, Biology, Chemistry or Bio-Technology or Computer  Science  as a subject in place of Mathematics and then on the basis of AIEEE rank.
The number of vacant seats would be displayed at the concerned Institutes’ notice board and also on University website.  Last date for receipt of application form is September 17 and merit list would be displayed on the university’s website on September 20, he added.
