Haryana win overall trophy in Fatehgarh Sahib

CHANDIGARH, SEPT 24
Haryana Police equestrian team has bagged over all first position in the Baba Banda Bahadur Memorial National Equestrian Meet and Tent Pegging held at Fatehgarh Sahib in Punjab. The Haryana Police team bagged four gold, two silver and two bronze medals in the national meet.
          While stating this here today, a spokesman of the Police Department said that ASI Nar Singh won one individual gold and part of two team events which won the gold. He won gold in Individual Tent Pegging Sword, Team Tent Pegging (Lance) Indian File and Team Tent Pegging (Sword). He also won silver medal in Individual Tent Pegging (Lance) and bronze medal in Tent Pegging Paired (Lance and Sword) events. ASI Ram Bhagat also won bronze medal in the Paired Event for the Lance and Sword.
          ORP/ASI Nirmal Singh and ORP/ASI Hari Kishan won gold in Individual Open Jumping Six Bar Championship. ORP/ASI Nirmal Singh also won fourth position in Individual Tent Pegging (sword) Lemon and Peg Championship.
          He said that ASI Ram Bhagat, ASI Leela Ram and ORP/ASI Rameshwar Dass were other members of the Haryana Police team, which won the gold in Team Tent Pegging (Lance) Indian File and Team Tent Pegging (Sword) events.
