Only five players to be admitted in Rai Sports School

Moti Lal Nehru School of Sports, Rai (Sonipat) has invited applications to admit approximately 100 students to class IV for the academic session 2011-12. The students will be admitted strictly on the basis of merit obtained in various admission tests.
          While stating this today, the School Principal said that 80 per cent seats had been reserved for Haryana domicile and boys and girls who would be admitted in the ratio of 50:50. The students should be between 8 and 10 years of age as on June 30, 2011.
          He said that approximately 20 students would be admitted to Class XI through lateral entry.
The Rai Sports School, once known as nursery to produce outstanding sportspersons, will admit only five students to various classes under outstanding sportsperson category on the basis of various tests and trials in relevant disciplines. The sportsperson should be in the age group of 8-17 years and should have participated in junior/senior National level Games or obtained first/second/third position in State level competitions.
          He said that prospectus containing all details could be obtained either by post or from the school counter on any working day after October 1, 2010. Applications for admission to class IV could be submitted by November 9, 2010 without late fee and by November 23, 2010 with late fee of Rs.500 and applications for admission to class XI could be submitted by February 28, 2011 without late fee and by March 15, 2011 with a late fee of Rs.500. Written test would be held on January 23, 2011 and Physical Efficiency and Sports Aptitude Test would be held on February 27, 2011, he added.
